Warnings: Minor
If you recieve more than two warnings, the third will count a major warning. Avoiding warnings isnt that hard. All you need to do is keep a level head and think before you post something.
- Post in the proper forum: One of the first things you might notice is that there are a lot of different boards, don't worry they are easy to get used to. These boards are separated into three sections, only two of which you'll really be using as a normal member There is the OOC Forums(Out of Character) IC forums (In Character), and Administration Forums. Each separate forum is accompanied by a description, just read that and think if your post belongs. If so, you should be fine. A thing that's frowned apon is posting in the IC section with anything other than a Role Play. If there is something you want to say it should be put at the end of a decent sized role play post, no one line role-plays just to post something OOC.
-Spam is bad: Exactly what is considered spam is covered elsewhere. The assylum can handle a little bit of spam, but anywhere else it is a warning. The most common board that shouldn't be and yet is spammed is the Q/S/A board. It is for asking and answering questions, not conversation.
-Reviving old threads or reposting a closed topic: Threads are locked for a reason, and dead for a reason. If someone has not posted for several days in a thread, its best just to leave it be, if its an old thread you want or need to comment on, create a new thread, that is if it wasn't locked. Posting a topic the same or similar to a locked topic will get you warned. The thread was locked for a reason, and it needs to stay that way.
-Metagaming: Metagaming is using OOC knowledge in a role play. For example, say Stan McNormal has his character Captain Chicken conserve his energy because his enemy can transform later, yet Captain Chicken never really met his enemy. Or, say Stan gets angry at Betty-Sue, so he has his character try to kill Betty-Sue's for no other reason. Keep OOC fighting out of your roleplays, and preferably off the boards, even if someone is being a jerk. Speaking of jerks...
-Do not be rude or disrespectful towards other members: We want this RPG to be as friendly a community as possible. If someone annoys you don't make a post insulting him and dropping the 'F' bomb every which way. It proves nothing, except your extensive vocabulary. Depending on the extremity this could go anywhere from minor to major warnings, and a ban if it persists. If something needs to be said TAKE IT OFF THE BOARDS. If someone is pestering you through PMs tell staff and they will deal with it. Another thing to watch out for is constantly dogging after someone and saying something scathing every time they post, regardless of the content.
-Not listening to staff: if staff tells you to stop doing something and you continue you WILL get warned.
-Anything else: Its impossible to plan for everything, but if you do something bad it will be punished regardless if its on this list or not.
Let me know if I forgot anything.
