No, because I believe the "farts" you are referring to are the type to contain ethane gas, which helps ripen crops, which can lead to agriculture on an uprise (so economy will sky rocket, and more funding for vital programs) and people will be able to eat more healthy foods more often which can eventually lengthen the life-span and lower the average death rate.

Besides, around that many people probably do fart at a time, or at least within a minute span, even more so then.
