He was a fine midget. . .though I didn't like his sexual forthcomings.

Actually, the average would have to be higher then 0 Carrot, as life is here and all, maybe other places as well...It wouldn't be much over 1 though it would probably be 0.000- continious for a long time, maybe infinite, but it would end in a 1 sooner or later.

The average population of the universe is actually 0.
There is an infinite amount of space in the universe and so an infinite number of planets. However, we know that not all planets can support life and so the number of people in the universe is therefore finite.
As we all well know, a finite number divided by infinity is so negible as to be zero.
Except for the universe is finite.

Untrue

True. Well, sorta. The universe is claimed to still be expanding currently. However, it's believed that its rate of expansion is slowing down, and will eventually stop all together. Well, it's all a matter of opinion. If you believe in a big-bang creation (religiously or not) of the universe, this is what's believed. If you believe something else created the universe, then I guess this doesn't apply.

There is much scientific evidence to prove that it is finite, and the way nature is wouldn't behave in such a way if it was infinite. An yea, it should flatline eventually and then start reverting back into the flaming ball it used to be.

So what if the word universe means infinite? The word chaos in Greek translates as vacuum/nothing. o.O

Well, of course this is all theory. For all we know, we live inside one massive fish bowl that's surrounded by black construction paper and littered with matter.

But it's just the currently scientifically accepted theory believes in a "big-bang" that caused the universe to rapidly expand, and is still to this day. And there's actually a belief that the universe DOES end, they just don't have the slightest clue as to what's outside of it.

Like I said, just theories. (Wow, this is a weird conversation)

There isn't any proof one way or the other. Unless someone wants to volunteer to go find out if there is a wall where the universe ends, stfu

I've never read a Hitchiker's Guide before. It's just what the most current theory states.

Okay, I'll shut up now.

I just find it funny that the best theory that humans have of the creation of the universe, lacking any divine intervention, is that there was a bunch of gas and rocks once just floating, they all combined and reacted and exploded, creating the universe.

There were rocks?! I'm pretty sure I didn't hear that before!

Infinity is an impossibility outside of theoretical, intangible employment (such as mathematics). Let's take a look at why this is.

Say, for example, that I had an infinite number of pennies. If I were to give you half of my pennies, we would each have an infinity. Thus, the equation would be this: Infinity - Infinity = Infinity.

However, if I were to give you all my pennies except for 2, you would have an infinity, while I would have 2. The equation would be this: Infinity - Infinity = 2.

Or, if I were to simply give you all my pennies, the equation would instead be this: Infinity - Infinity = Nothing.

It's theoretically impossible, as its very existence would override any shred of human logic.

Also, it goes against physics. When an antimatter particles appears, a non-antimatter particle must as well to compensate, because the universe cannot become unbalanced (even though there is much more non-antimatter than antimatter), and infinity has no way of being equal like this.

But that's the thing. Human logic is only comprised of what we know, which is not much in the grand scheme of things. Think of the whole universe as a giant, gaping mass of darkness. That tiny pinprick of light? That's what we know. So we can't claim to know anything for sure. Nothing is ever impossible, because even if we think we know everything, we might be wrong.
