I haven't talked to Will about it yet, but Champion should be reletively easy to get (not as easy as rookie, though.) I know Ultimate is the one that will take a long time to get. Champion was attained reletively quick in the show.

Don't be surprised if a few of the people Greg meets are people he knows online in the 'real world' :p My character is basically just a self-parody, kekeke.
I'm in no rush to get champion, I want to stick with my non-digivolving rookie for a while. It'll be cool when the first person gets it though 8)

Digimon stay in rookie form

Obviously if you want to stay in the in-training form, we won't mind, but just so you know most digimon will be in their rookie form most of the time

Question though, is it possible that the digimon can easily become one or the other? Or would it be taxing like Champion level?

Well, digimon can't just digivolve at well. After the first time, it just requires the owner's digivice to be near, and some kind of reason (like a battle).

Exception is from baby to in-training can be done just by being fed and treated properly

But yea, going from baby to in-training to rookie is no problem at all. Though it can't be done at will, it can be done easy without strain
