[PS] The Restaurant

Waiters will get you any food you desire. There's a bar that has drinks. It's not a fancy place, think like a local bar or something.

Sighing of boredom, the hybrid moved his way away from the dojo. Things where slow, and not finding any one to spar with had put a bit of a dampner on his spirits. But, which spirit? His head still felt like a congo hall, the beats in his head pulsing to his blood surging up there due to the chaos in it.

He couldn't really stop it, and he had little chance of wanting to stop it. The shit in there had to be settled in it's own time. He was just glad since his lil escapaed on the Resolute had only been the true side affect of it all. He just had to hope it wouldn't show up when he least wanted it to. He ran a hand slowly though his hair as he made his way towards the restraunt. The alluring smell of alcohol was drawing him in, not the food. Thou it was an added bonus.

As he managed to find a seat, he sat quitely and started to softly rap his fingers on the table top, almost to a rythm as he turned his attention to look around the room. He actually drew on one of mental based powers, pushing his mind out to search over the beings that where starting to appear on the station. Saiya-jin's, humans, namek's, shadows. He groaned, the one thing he hated most was androids, he hated the fact that their energy seemed limitless, and they never where able to be detected. Which meant they where the prefect assassins.

Assassin's.. Cute such a thing could pop in to his mind when trying to free him self of the burdon he got lumped with. Part of him wondered how Minoshia was doing, weather or not he had lived, or weather or not he was going to make an appearance in the torny. And then theo ther person popped in to his head, one of theo ther few woman he had met, Selipa. He debated softly on what her real game was from back then, she had been beaten early in the events on Mercy-sei. And he also wondered if she would be making a guest appearance.

"May I help you sir?" A voice, classy by the sounds of it, spoke to the hybrid, bringing him back from his day dream to look at the waiter.

"A glass of your strongest, pal." He resumed looking around as the waiter nodded, then moved off to bar, having a quick whisper with one of the waitresses, who nodded back. His eyes caught on to her for a moment, her dyed red hair was noticeable, only due to the fact that her original, ginger roots where showing slightly, but her form and figure where amazing. He ocmpaired her to a moment to Hasky.

Whats it matter? We'll just shag her anyway afterall.. A shrewd thought sprung in to his mind, and, as if his darker powers seemed to have more control over his mind then he did, an image appeared in his head. As if by some strange will, a dark hand pushed it forward, and he saw it in his normal vision, thou like a ghost, he watched the dark hand force it in to the womans head, and in to her mind.

Her eyes widened slightly as she looked at him once more before blushing deeply and looking down to the floor and drink she was pouring.

You son of a-- Oh please.. You would if you had the power.. Which you do. Why deny it, you'd shag her senseless, and then look for more. Admit, you hunger after the action, the want of being loved thou you'll never feel it. You'll never feel loved. Your a monster, and you'll see it soon enough..

As if answering to an unsent pray, the woman came over ot the table, like a scurrying lil bee, she dropped off the glass, and then dashed off quickly, her name badge fleetingly catchign the warriors eyes. Steff. Earth. So she was an earthling though and though? The darkness wanted to test that, see if she was as much human as Hasky was.

He shuddered and cursed udner his breath. He knocked back the drink roughly and motioned for another.

The smell of grilled food and alcohol wafted to Bardock?s nostrils. He was hunched over the bar, elbows resting on the counter and head buried in his hands. Outside, his body was calm and relaxed, but within, the saiyan?s mind?

?You going to order, hon??

A voice shattered Bardock?s inner concentration, bringing his focus to the outside world once again.

?What?? he inquired.

?I asked if you were going to order,? the waitress repeated.

?Oh, uh, right. Got a menu??

She handed him a stack of menus, each representative of a different culture of flavors. Bardock grabbed a random one from the pile, and with barely a glance at the set of choices, ran his finger across the plastic.

?I want this, this, this, this, two of these, this, that, and this,? he requested.

The server looked at him incredulously, as if he was playing a joke. ?And let me guess, big guy, you want a diet Coke with that??

?What?s diet Coke??

?I?ll just go get your order,? she said hurriedly.

?Well then get on with it, woman!? the saiyan ordered, slamming his fist on the table.

When she retreated back to the kitchen, Bardock rested his chin on his hands, returning to contemplation?pre-game meditation. Any possible thought that could hinder his performance had to be hashed out now, while he still had the opportunity. His eyes closed.

She had given him the chance to recuperate, and it would prove a fatal allowance. He outmatched her in every way but one?she had brains, he didn?t. Even so, it wouldn?t have compensated for the lack of physical prowess.

Selipa?

He hadn?t seen her since. But just as things were getting underway, the odds re-stacked. Bardock was put in a situation he didn?t want to be in, but he had no other choice. Raditzu was a Super Saiya-jin, and the father didn?t stand a chance. Time was a saving throw. Getting dusted was worse than being finished off.

Bardock opened his eyes and stared intently at the swirling patterns of the marble countertop.

Even so, Eighteen wouldn?t wait. He charged head on, knowing full well what the outcome would be. It should have ended there?but it didn?t?

He breathed deeply, narrowing his eyes.

She had fought like an animal. Bardock was burned and bleeding, on his last leg. She wasn?t fairing any better. In the end, he had been the one to deliver the killing blow, a mixture of mercy and triumph?Pan fell to his hand. It wasn?t an easy choice, but it didn?t change anything. Death was his gift?

The saiyan?s eyes shimmered as he swallowed a lump in his throat. Even if he could go back in time, even if he was given a chance to alter the events of the past, he wouldn?t. Many experiences had filled in the gap between now and then, but they were different. Friend or Foe had marked a distinct change, one that was still unraveling, but this was Dante?s Abyss. It was a death tournament. In the end, it was kill or be killed. His code of engagement was the same as always. He would fight.

The smirk returned. It was an opportunity to settle old scores. He chuckled.

That is, if I go that far, he mentally amended. Things were no doubt different this time around. His luck had held strong before, but history wasn?t always kind.

Whatever.

He didn?t care.

A strength he had thought long since lost rejuvenated his weary soul. Bardock felt more whole than he had been in ages. Even if he died, this thing would do him some good. Especially since his food was arriving. The waitress balanced two large serving trays stacked with plates. Cautiously, she unloaded them before the starving ape. He surveyed the food, and then looked up at her accusingly.

?Where the hell is my diet Coke??

OOC: Bardock has not noticed Gohan, but you are more than welcome to interact.

The hybrid sat in silence, trying to fight off the urges that where building in the dark aprts of his mind. He looked around the bar as other people began to enter in to the room. His glass was brought by the same female, who once again dropped it off, and scurried away as fast as she could humanly move. Sighing softly, he hated the darkness inside of him. It had showed it's ugly head when he first got to Vegeta, and, thinking back, after he had changed.

That blank spot in the corner of his mind of events on there, and how he managed to wind up naked, had completely eluded him, other then for the sake of the darkness twittering in the background as it slowly grew inside of him. But his train of thought was broken as he spotted a man enter the room.

His eyes squinted, and he felt a small smile grow across his lips. His father. Thou dressed completely diffrrently, he forgot about his senses as he grabbed his drink and slowly made his way towards the older being. He ordered his own drink as the hybrid made his way towards him and as he got closer, he started to notice features diffrent to that of his fathers.

"Dad?" He spoke in a soft voice as he stood near to the man, but out of ear shot of his soft voice. "Dad?" He spoke it louder this time, drawing the attention of the older man as he looked to him.

"Pardon kid?" The man spoke gruffly, looking at the hybrid questioningly.

"Oh.. Ermm.. Sorry.. I thought you where my father.. You look alot like him." It puzzeled the hybrid as he stared at the older man. The resemblence was uncanny in him to his father. But then it struck once again. The one time he truely wanted it to stay away, it had a horrid habbit of striking when he least wanted it. His eyes darkened along with his features slightly. "What the hell have you done with my father?!" He barked it in a cruel voice, threatening to tear his own vocal chords to shreds as he barked it to the man.

His actions where done as if he was watching from a copied body. His hands shot forward, grasping the man around the scruff of his armour and hurling him slightly off of the floor and to him tightly. His lips curling back to reveal a menacing snarl as he stared at the man.

OOC: Didn't wanna control Bardock abit to much as I only fleetingly skimmed over your RP due to lack of time >.> Feel free to RP with Goh, he'll drop outta the darkness randomly ^^ Oh, GJ, didn't wanna pull you in to this just yet like.

Despite the fact that he had no idea what a ?diet Coke? was he?d assumed it was some type of alcoholic drink designed for specific usage, and it was the principle of the matter that she left it out of his order. After all, it could very well be the last opportunity to eat like this. A saiya-jin male was always known for a severe appetite. Bardock was just about to dig in when a voice interrupted his train of action yet again.

?Dad??

Bardock looked over inquiringly. That wasn?t something he heard too often, and it wasn?t a voice he immediately recognized. His eyes rested on a dark-haired youth, who appeared to have been knocking back some strong stuff. Bar?s voice came out rough, as it normally did. ?Pardon, kid??

?Oh?ermm?sorry?I thought you were my father. You look a lot like him,? the youth replied. The young man stared at Bardock as if he?d seen him before, thoroughly confused. Then, with a sudden fury, he lunged forth, roaring, ?What the hell have you done with my father?!?

Talk about jumping to conclusions. The young man?s hands shot forward, grabbing the collar of Bardock?s armor. In a fit of cruel rage, the youth gripped him tightly and yanked the saiyan off of his barstool, lifting his body slightly in the air. Reactively, Bardock clapped both hands on his aggressor?s forearms, squeezing as hard as he could and trying to pull the arms off of him. No go. This guy was definitely strong. Bardock?s dark eyes glared into the darkened face of the attacker, getting a better look at him. Recognition flashed in his mind.

?You?re right, I ain?t your dad, but I haven?t done anything to him, either,? Bardock responded gruffly, feet dangling.

?Then why do you look exactly like him?? the boy demanded threateningly.

?Sorry, kid, but you?ve got it the wrong way around. He looks like me. Get it straight, Gohan.?

Gohan shook his head, still confused. ?Wha???

?Listen, Goh. Kakarotto is my son. I?m Bardock!? the elder explained. ?Y?know, the guy who made it possible for this entire family to be born.?

Gohan relaxed his hold, lowering Bardock to the ground, but still keeping his hands on the collar. ?Then, why haven?t I ever seen you around before??

?Well, I obviously wasn?t around, was I? Not something I?m proud of. I knew of the fact that you and your brother were born, and I?d seen enough of you to know what you look like. I met up with Goten earlier. Kid?s gotten pretty big.?

The hybrid saiyan finally released his grandfather, revelation flashing across his expression.

?I?ve been around Raditzu a lot, but in all honesty, I haven?t seen your pops in a long time,? Bardock confessed, straightening his armor. ?You?re not the first person to mistake me for Kakarotto. A lot of his friends do, too.?

Gohan blinked. ?Yeah?you guys are practically twins??

?Yeah, well, get used to it. At least I don?t have any other little clones of me running around,? the fighter shrugged, looking about the room. He returned his focus to Gohan and slapped him on the shoulder, giving him a trademark smirk. ?So, what have you been doing with your life??

?Is that you, Daddy?? a boy?s voice whimpered out. Bardock looked down, the smile still on his face. As his eyes beheld the sight before him, it faded and he did a double take.

?What the fuck?? he blurted out in surprise. ?Who are you??

The boy seemed rather timid, and was shocked speechless by the response his question had received.

?They?re all just coming out of the woodworks!? Bardock continued in exasperation.

?Are you?are you my daddy?? the little one tried again, his voice barely above that of a whisper now.

Bardock massaged his eyelids with his fingers as he knelt down. He stared hard at the kid, who looked almost identical to himself. Now the saiyan had to figure out the identity of this boy. His eyes searched the face of the child before him.

Okay, it wasn?t a one-night stand. I?m positive he?s not mine. As far as I know, Raditzu doesn?t have kids. Kakarotto didn?t have any other than Gohan and Goten. Either of them aren?t the type to punch in and punch out with just anyone. The only other person I know of is Pan?and?that?s?

Bardock sighed. This was too much all at once for him. ?No. I?m not your dad.?

The kid turned and retreated under a table at these words, seemingly ashamed of what he had just done. Gohan was still just standing there. Bardock motioned for a second and went to retrieve the youngster.

?Listen, kid, what?s your name?? he ventured.

?Goku,? the boy answered. ?Junior.?

At least he?s from the family. But goddammit, did his parents have to pick the name ?Goku??

?Okay. I?m Bardock, and this is Gohan,? the fighter responded, gesturing in turn. ?I don?t know who your parents are, but I?m pretty sure you?re a saiyan.?

?You mean there are others? Others like me?? Goku Junior questioned.

Oh god. This kid doesn?t know anything. I can?t deal with this.

?Yeah,? Bardock nodded patronizingly. This was the last thing he needed before Dante?s Abyss. It was then that his stomach rumbled, reminding him of the order at hand. ?Business before pleasure.?

He stood up and returned to the counter. A glass of bubbly brown liquid with bobbing cubes of ice in it was placed within hand?s reach. He assumed this was the infamous ?diet Coke.? Bardock, desperately needing a drink at the moment, grabbed the glass and swigged down a gulp. As the liquid slid down his throat, his tongue told him something wasn?t right. He spat out the drink, demanding, ?What the hell is this stuff??

?It?s diet Coke,? the waitress answered dumbly.

?This tastes like shit. You forgot the alcohol!? he complained.

?But, it?s a soda??

?What the hell is soda?? Bardock barked. On second thought, he waved her off. ?Never mind, just get me the strongest stuff you got. And I suggest you stop serving whatever the hell this is. Nobody in their right mind would drink it. It doesn?t have any alcohol.?

?Right away, sir,? the waitress complied grudgingly.

Bardock attacked his food voraciously. It just so happened to be Earth-style food: a double-stacked barbeque burger. The other two just looked on. Between mouthfuls, the saiya-jin encouraged, ?Eat, then talk.?

Then he heard a roar from across the room.

?Kakarot! I?ll get you for causing my death!?

Bardock dropped his burger, eyes narrowing in irritation. He was getting awfully popular in the last couple of minutes. What now?

A mountainous saiya-jin of muscle was launching himself across the room at Bardock.

?I don?t know you,? he growled. ?Geez, you people and your bad memories??

The brute reared back his fist and swung for the fences, aiming directly for Bardock?s face. The saiya-jin smirked. Too slow. The black-haired brawler easily ducked and delivered an uppercut to his attacker?s gut. Bardock withdrew the fist, allowing the big bully to clutch his injured stomach. Finishing his opponent off, Bardock spun around and delivered a mighty kick that sent the giant flying across the room. The hulking saiyan (the scent was unmistakable) slammed into a wall and slumped down, dazed. Bardock returned to his food, hoping that he wouldn?t be so rudely separated from his love again.

?Wait a second,? the stranger said, recovering. Then he began to spout words of gibberish that Bardock didn?t understand. ?That couldn?t be Kakarot. His armor, Kakarot would not be caught dead in our armor. I know that headband?Bardock, I thought he was dead. Frieza surely defeated him. Did he win the battle? Is he?a Super Saiyan??

Bardock turned to look at him, chewing on a hunk of burger. This guy?s crazy. How does he know me and Kakarotto? And who the hell is Frieza?

Fortunately, an announcement over the intercom drew the big guy?s attention away. Bardock turned to his meal.

The row of Syntex soldiers just kept swarming in, surrounding the room by hugging the walls. Everyone in the restaurant remained quiet as this happened, assuming it to mainly be for safety reason.

Then, three more people came in after the row of soldiers. Two in similar military uniform and a smaller man wearing causual clothes of a white shirt and blue jeans. His blonde hair went smoothly down his back, though that wasn't the most noticable thing about him. On his face, he wore some make-up to make himself stand out a bit, and to top it off: he was wearing high heels.

"Well hello all you studs!" He grinned, folding his arms over his chest. "My name is Karl Jak, and I'm going to be hosting this lovely contest!"

A lot of people looked dumbfounded. The host of the bloodiest reality fighting competition in the universe was this scrawny, weak-looking queer?

"Now we've got a lot of fun activities for everyone while we wait for sign-ups to close!" He smiled, reaching into the crate on the table. "But today we're going to show how these fancy collars work." He pulled a gold metallic circular band, showing it to everyone.

"What's it for?" Someone asked.

"Well, I'm getting to that," Karl told the rude man, annoyed but still smiling. "Using these collars, we can track all of the fighters on the island. We can check to make you're alive and where you are. It has both audio and video, so we can see and hear things from your view -- for the television show, you understand. There are also cameras around the island."

He stopped, smiling, making sure everyone was paying attention.

"This is also to used to make sure the rules are followed. We don't want any buildings or cameras deliberately destroyed, and we want to make sure no one is plotting against the game," He flashed a serious look for a moment, "And we will know, trust me." Then his smile emerged again, faster then it vanished. "Also, every six hours I will announce new danger zones. If you go into any of these danger zones after I've activated them six hour later, a similar fate will happen."

He handed the soldier to his left the collar, who promptly put it on. Karl and the other soldier backed up.

"If you go into an activated danger zone, or break any rules too many times -- this happens."

When he pushed the button, a sudden beep emitted from the collar around the soldier's neck. It was clear the man was nervous, but he stood still, waiting for something to happen. Then, without warning, the collar erupted into a small explosive flame, ripping apart the man's neck. Blood shot out onto most of the people, causing a loud disgusted groan from about half the audience.

The man, now with only half of his neck hanging on, dropped to his knees, and then forward onto the ground.

"No need to panic, he's just fine. These collars control what happens after you're dead, as well," Karl stepped forward, as if nothing happened. "If you're killed by another player, we'll re-create you back here using your DNA. If you are killed by a danger zone, or yourself, we won't be bothering to bring you back. So, fight with gutso, yes?"

He pulled out another collar, just so people could still look at them.

"The last thing I need to mention is your abilities. We believe in equality here. As you can see, many different species have signed up," He raised a hand to the diverse crowd to prove his point. "The collar locks into place a mechanism inside your body which controls what your body will do. You won't be able to take flight during the competition. You'll also have to pick two abilities, if you have any, that are eligible to be chosen. The collar will work to keep all others out of your body till elimination. This golden beauty will also limit regeneration and other key aspects that may be unique about your body, in order to encourage injuries to happen."

Finally, he set the collar down for people to look at it if they wanted.

"That's all for today. Check the big board in the lobby later for tommorrow's activity. Good luck!" Before he would take questions, the man was gone without a word, and the row of soldiers followed him in a straight line.

The corpse of the man was left there, as proof of what the collar could do.

"Hey. Cool... a dead body."

Radituz carefully toed around the growing crimson puddle that stemmed from the headless man laying on the floor. He wasn't exactly sure what had happened to him, but it must have been pretty awesome if everyone else was too busy not talking about it to say anything. The saiyan warrior scanned the room quickly, not really sure what he was looking for. His eyes rested on several spikes of black hair that were bobbing about the room. With a grin, the long-haired wonder strode over to see which member of his family was the owner of said spikes.

As Rad came upon a small clearing in the crowd, he was pleasantly surprised to see his father stanidng there, munching away at some sandwich-based meal. Rad crept towards his father in large, cartoon-like steps, apparently designed to make sure he would produce as little noise as possible. The snickers that followed in his wake, however, did little to mask his approach. Luckily for the long-haired lummox, he was quite confident that his father would be more engrossed in his meal to care about the antics of his oldest. When Rad came within arm's reach, he reared back and landed a powerful slap against Bardock's back.

"Heya, pops. Long time, no see."

It was only a small area she had managed to squeeze into for the demonstration, but through the miniscule opening, blood had managed to splatter across the delicate heart shaped curve of her face and neck. At the back of her mind, her blood lusty half began to stir, and her pink tongue flicked out to lick a drop of blood off her lips, tasting it within her mouth. The dark side of her reveled in the metallic taste of the liquid, enticing that part to push forward in her mind to savor more.

After the astonished crowd began to part, she eased up to the nearly headless body, hunching down to touch the gaping hole in the man?s neck. The blood was still warm, still fresh. It would have served as a lovely treat for the darker side of her, but she suppressed that part back, and instead, mourned to herself for the stranger. He was, after all, just a participant. His death wasn?t really deserved. They could have used a mannequin to get the point across, but instead, used an actual living being. Wasn?t this illegal?

It dawned on her then what she had gotten herself into. She had a real risk of dying here, and there was no escape. Fuck. Rising back to her feet, she took one last look at the man, and left. No sense on dwelling on something she had no control over.

She was once again out in the open air of the lobby, when a voice called her name.

?Vi!? The grunts and groans of a fat man as he came thudding up to her made her frown. Panbuukin certainly wasn?t the one she expected to meet first here. She was a little disappointed, but greeted him in return.

?What?s up??

?Dude! There is a football game about to go on. Wanna play?? He gasped between breaths.

Crinkling her nose, she replied, ?And where is this going to be at??

?Park.? He said simply.

She sighed. ?Fi--ine. Just tell me when its starting.?

The fat Saiyan smiled, pleased. ?Here shortly. Let?s go!?

While following behind him, her gaze happened to venture to a small pouch hanging haphazardly from his back pocket. ?Balloons? it read. Balloons? What does a full grown Saiyan intend to do with balloons?

The hybrid watcheda everything unfurled, he smirked wickedly as his grandfather landed a punch to the brute of a warrior, who reminded him alot of Yamu, the bastard that he had entrusted the safety of Hasky in to.. Why the hell would he allow him to live he didn't know. He turned his head as the demo began, moving around he slipped in to the onlooking crowd as the harsh explosion shattered the mans neck.

Great.. The hybrid looked to his body, splattered with blood as part of his mind loved to see the carnage. Bloody brillant if you ask me. Shame I'm gonna be caught with you wearing it during this crap!

The warrior groaned loudly as he then spotted his uncle entering, and edging around the dead body to his grand dad. Part of his mind felt like hitting the older being, keeping crap like that hidden to him. But he had to fight it back, he knew for a fact that if he deared to attack the older man, he'd get his ass handed to him a thousand ways from Sunday.

Walking back over to them, he shuddered softly, his dominating darkness began to retreat, fearing the brute force that could be felt from Rad.

"Heya, pops. Long time, no see." He struck at his fathers back, forcing the man to choke slightly on a mouthfull of food.

"Hey, Rad." Gohan came around from though the crowd as he made his way forward. "Hows things?" He played a small smile on to his lips as he motioned to the waitress for a round of the strongest for the three saiya-jins.

Bulma came out of the steaming bathroom with her white towel wrapped around her. She removed her towel from her body and began wiping the water off her body. She unzipped her trolley bag and brought out her body lotion and began slowly rubbing the St Ives lotion all over her body. It had a fragrance which left her body smelling like peaches.

Bulma slipped on a cherry red bra and peaked outside her window. The weather was nice and warm. She decided to slip on black shorts with a nice tight blue top. Her stomach began to grumble, just as the reptiles did, when they were fighting one another. The first thought that ran through the woman?s mind was food. Bulma grabbed hold of her hand bag and vacated her room. She made her way down to the restaurant. She noticed a sign around the lobby which read?

Note from Syntex Corp: Be at the park tomorrow afternoon for a picnic meet-and-greet! Get to know your competition!

Hmm, I guess it would be a good idea to check out my competition. I?ll be there for sure.

Bulma could smell the nice aroma coming from the restaurant up ahead. I must admit this isn?t my kind of hotel, but I guess you get used to it. On planet earth, I wouldn?t be caught dead in a two star hotel!

Bulma entered the restaurant and began to sniff the air.

Has something died or gone off in here?

She turned left towards the source of the smell. A man lay in a pool of his own blood. What seemed to confuse the woman was the fact that people were paying no attention to the bloody carcass, whatsoever.

?WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED IN HERE?? she said out allowed, hoping that someone would have the decency to explain to her. She stared at the body once more. A sick feeling entered her mind. Never in her life had she killed anyone, or had ever seen a dead body before. Her body shook twice, and then her eyes began to bulge out. Her cheeks began to expand, then suddenly ruminants of liquid mixed with solids made their way out of her mouth like a volcanic eruption. The cyan haired woman vomited on the restaurant floor. She bent down as she tried to catch her breath. Her stomach began to cave inwards repeatedly as she let out another round of vomit, on top of the pile she had already made. Staring down at the pile she had made, she let out one more round of food and mineral ruminants from her mouth. She tried to get up, but she staggered backwards and lay flat on her back. Bulma began zoning out, not realising that a couple of people had rushed to her aid.

OOC: I?m going to have to ignore yea, Yamu. We can make plans to meet up later in the pre-saga. I figured a bar could be in a room connected to the restaurant.

The hell fighter threw the sandbag over his shoulder, bringing his body down slightly. He placed one foot in-front of himself and bent it, allowing the other leg to align itself parallel to the floor. Grabbing tightly onto the bag, he repeated the procedure with the opposite legs, and continued to do so. On one of the lunges, however, a discolouration of the walls appeared in his peripheral vision. His central processing unit allowed him to almost instantaneously identify the cause.

He smiled weakly; it was all the he could muster. ?Burter,? he said under his breath as the sandbag dropped to the floor. Burter?s smile widened a little bit, and then he vanished. Damnit all! the hell fighter screeched in his head. However much he was glad to see the reptile, the memories of him had brought back to the mind what had happened on Arlia.

The beating must have messed with his circuits, but now he was angered. He kicked the sandbag that he had once been training with, causing it to explode on impact. Granules of the substance sprayed everywhere, mostly to the side of Seventeen, though, but a small amount stuck to his clothing. He didn?t notice this and started walking away from the other training equipment.

?I need a friggin? drink, and maybe somebody can tell me what the hell is going on,? he muttered deeply. His steps were large and empowered by his anger. He looked around searching for the bar that seemed to always be whenever something big happened. Eventually his retina caught glimpse of it, and he immediately started towards the area.

?Smirnoff, and don?t be skimpy,? he demanded, hitting his open hand against the counter. He leaned against the sleek, black table, and looked around. The bar was more classy than what he went in normally, with cushioned seats at every table and very comfortable-looking barstools. Then were a couple of pool tables, and each one had a shimmer to it. ?Now can somebody tell me where the hell I am??

?You are in Dante?s Abyss, fool,? broke in a fellow android.

?Hey, I don?t need to deal with any?? started the hell fighter, but he cut himself off as soon as he saw the fighter?s face. ?You look familiar. I believe I started off in Friend or Foe II with you, did I not??

?You are correct,? said the white-haired man smugly.

?Drink?? asked the android. ?I need to forget about some stuff, myself, how ?bout you??

?Can I have a mint milkshake please!? said the earthling to the waiter.

?Right away? he replied. Bulma turned her face towards the humongous saiyan then back to her front. She knew her breath would be too harsh for the saiyan to bare. "I need to refresh my breath. Lucky I didn?t stain my clothes. Phew, that was a close one, but seriously SOMEONE NEEDS TO REMOVE THE DEAD BODY FROM HERE!? The saiyan continued to stare at her in amazement. Only one thought raced through his mind.

Women! Why is it that they talk and complain so much? I guess they cannot be changed.

?Well lucky for some, it seems that you caught my leg a little with your display.? She ignored his comment. The saiyan could see the youthful looking woman begin to boil up. She stood up from the table and looked around to view all of the people who were eating and drinking. ?What kind of people are you. How can you eat and drink when someone over here is lying in a pool of blood? ?MEN, YOU?RE ALL THE SAME! You?re just a bunch of filthy pigs.? She turned towards the bar tender who stood frozen still with her milkshake in his hand. ?Well, are you going to hand me my milkshake??

?Ha BURN!? shouted a warrior to all of the men inside the place.

?What kind of fool are you? said Bulma as she pointed towards him with a disgusted look on her face. ?You just proved that you?re a jackass!? Bulma?s comments made many laugh out loud. A drunken warrior fell off his stool laughing on the floor.

?Hya hya hya? mocked Bulma, as she stared down at the pathtic drunken who was making a big fool out of himself.

?Yes miss; we shall call someone to remove the body mam. We staff apologize on your behalf? The bald headed saiyan?s mouth was still open in shock. He couldn?t believe what he was witnessing. She didn?t appear to be that tough but yet she still managed to own everyone. ?Here is your drink Madame,? said the bar tender, as he quickly placed it on the counter. She took a long sip of the mint flavoured milkshake then opened her bag. She pulled out a black leather wallet and began flipping through her cards. She pulled out a black card. ?You don?t deserve to have my services here. WHAT A POOR PATHETIC PLACE THIS IS!? She shouted it out so loud that her voice was heard once more. She couldn?t care less if people thought she was crazy. She was so pissed off that she wasn?t taking any notice of the saiyan sitting next to her.

?Here?s my Black Card. You people have no idea who I am do you!? Bulma doubted that anyone in the restaurant knew what a Black Card was. Especially when there were the likes of people drinking diet Coke.

?Who exactly are you? he replied anxiously.

?I?m Bulma Briefs. My father is Professor Briefs, owner of capsule corp, the richest company in the universe!?

?O-Oh, you?re his daughter! No wonder you have a Black Card! Once again we are deeply sorry Madame Bulma.? The man handed her card back to her. His eyes bulged open as he stared at the receipt.

She?s loaded! Check out her fat bank balance, it?s incredible! I?m not surprised!

He handed the receipt back to her. ?Thank you for your order. Would you like anything else??

Bulma let out a laugh. ?What do you think??

?I don?t know that?s??..?

?I?m not eating in this sort of environment, no thanks! To think I was even suggesting of ordering an apple martini on the rocks, shaken not stirred. No, not today! You aren?t getting anymore of my money till you guys remove that dead dodo!? Bulma picked up her mint milkshake and headed for the exit. Not giving a damn that people were gossiping about her.

OOC: Bulma is heading outside. Feel free to follow if you want Nappa.

The white-maned android had almost instantaneously headed for the bar upon his arrival. It reminded him of the first time he had participated in Dante's Abyss, and he decided to follow the precedent that had been set earlier, despite the fact it had been by Gero.

Regardless, he felt quite at home here. He was obviously not the only sulking fighter here, many others were hunched over the bar, brooding to themselves, thinking whatever petty or crude thoughts were on their mind. Twenty couldn't care less what was on their minds, despite the fact that he could more or less find out if he wanted to. He had more important matters on his mind, such as continually reviewing battle statistics from every fight he had ever been in. He needed to be absolutely perfect, flawless in every respect.

He hadn't asked any questions about the pool of blood or the dead body on the way in. It had far from sickened him, or made him turn away, or scream, as several others had. In fact, it had merely invigorated his desire to fight in this tournament once again, knowing that blood would be freely shed.

But that's when the reverberating echoes of Gero's mind sensed a familiar arrival in the bar. He could tell by the regular electrical pulses that ebbed outwards from it that this one was an android. And this android happened to plop down in a seat next to Twenty.

"Smirnoff, and don't be skimpy," the android demanded loudly slamming his hand against the bar. "Now can someone tell me where the hell I am?"

"Somebody didn't do a very good job with this one's wiring." Twenty thought, an amused expression on his face. He would humor this android.

"You are in Dante's Abyss, fool." Twenty muttered, pointing out the obvious to the raven-haired mechanoid.

"Hey, I don't need to deal with any-" the machine began testily, before he did a double-take towards Twenty's face. "You look familiar. I believe I started off with you in Friend or Foe II, did I not?"

"You would be correct." Twenty answered, having matched the android's appearance with the one in his data banks.

"Drink?" the younger machination asked. "I need to forget about some stuff, myself, how 'bout you?"

"Forgetting isn't one of the things that I am particularly good at. But I'm not going anywhere at the moment, so I suppose so." Twenty answered, leaning back on his stool, and pushing some of his long white hair out of his face.

"Heh, right." the dark-haired android responded, giving Twenty an odd look, but then turned towards the barkeeper. "Make that two!"

"I don't think I ever caught your name in Friend or Foe II. What was it again?" Android 20 asked, trying to appear as if he were being sociable. However, in reality, he simply needed more information on this android. If he could get a name, he would be able to access more concrete information about him.

"Me? I go by Seventeen. And you are?" Hellfighter 17 responded with his own question.

"Twenty." the crimson-eyed android responded curtly, hoping the inevitable question was not about to come up.

"Twenty... that's right, I remember you now. But in Friend of Foe II, you were all... wrinkly and old." Seventeen stated, lacking a bit of tact with that comment.

"Uh..." Android 20 muttered, his mind racing, until an idea clicked. "The marvels of science! There's this stuff called 'anti-aging' cream! It works wonders!"

"Here's your drinks." the bartender gruffly interrupted, and planted two mugs in front of the pair of androids, causing an interruption in their conversation.

OOC: I need to figure out how your character acts and talks more... I hope I didn't mess that up.

The namekian had found solitude and freedom of greivance in the restaraunt as he watched the spectical from a dark corner. He had thought it to be a simple free for all fight, but now he understood he was wrong. He knew he had to learn about this tournament fast and remembered there was an Information Center near by from an enlarged map on the wall where he had entered. He started to move from his corner when he caught the glance a big bald man. He was rather huge and bulky, and seemd as if he could handle his own very well.

Retane, needed allies in the fight ahead, and he needed answers as well. Perhaps this bulky man could assist him without him having to leave. Plus he would need allies post-tournament as well to complete his mission. He watched the fighter from afar, thinking of approaching him. He watched the interaction of the bulky figure and a female. Of course, Retane was oblivous to what was going on between the two and had no clue why physical contact had happened. His hearing was great but the place was crowded and he found it hard to concetrate on their conversation.

He lost himself in his own thoughts till he saw the two leave. He moved to follow, throwing his hood over his head before leaving. They headed in the direction of the park. He followed at a distance.

The ninja quickly passed through time and space. It seemed to stand still, only he moved. It was as if there was a rift within in the time space continuum, a worm hole that opened where you wanted and closed only when you were safely out of it. Sadly this didn?t work for everything. How he would want to freeze time just for a moment, just to see what mayhem he could cause, but alas this could not be. His body re appeared in what seemed like only seconds to the human. His body appeared once more within a giant foyer. Huge arches led to the outside area?s each one labeled with their destination. His eyes scanned over each, reciting what they said back to himself.

This took but a few minutes and then he cocked his head upwards, a giant teleprompter hung from the ceiling, a few events scrolling side ways across the large black screen.

Quote: Note from Syntex Corp: Tomorrow afternoon there will be a collar demonstration in the restaurant!

Another one followed after it reading :
Quote: Be at the park tomorrow afternoon for a picnic meet-and-greet! Get to know your competition!

Murasaki looked at both, he knew he wanted to see what these collars had in store for him but scoping out the competition also sounded good. Maybe there would be free food at the meet-and-greet. He hadn?t eaten in quite some time and was getting rather hungry. His stomach soon lead him through the arch way leading into the restaurant. His body was hit with a cool rush of air as he entered the fun atmosphere of the watering hole. A bar was lined up upon the far wall from the doorway, a few stools lined the front of it, most were taken up by hopeful signups.

A group of dark haired fighters sat at a table in the middle of the floor, a few had tails, ones hair was a bit long for the ninjas liking.

Tails?.hmm?must be of Saiya-jin decent. This event might actually be worth my time. No more errands for those damn idiots. Its time to do things my way.

The last thing he noticed was his foot stepping through the charred remains of the syntex soldier?s skull. It cracked with ease under the weight of the ninja, ashes lifting into the air as his foot sank through to the wooden floor below.

Well, it appears that I found out what these collars do to you, time to get plastered.

He walked over towards the bar, placing a small leather satchel upon the counter as he sat down.

?Give me a shot of the strongest alcohol you?ve got.? The bar tender, a cute little number began to pour his shot, taking the satchel and counting out what the stranger owed her. Things were finally looking good.

OOC: If anyone wants to interact with me feel free.

Bardock chewed noisily and without any refinement. Black-clad Synex soldiers marched in, lining the walls in a dark, menacing shroud. The saiyan followed the flamboyant voice articulating the specifics of the collar demonstration. Bar paid very minimal attention to the words, and with nothing but sheer apathy. It was nothing he hadn?t heard before. That is, until the actual punishment was verified. A little explosion emitted from the collar. Chunks of the man?s throat were ripped free of their resting place, sending sprays of blood spurting across the room. Splatters of crimson landed on a wave of onlookers.

That?s new.

Before, Bardock clearly remembered that you would get what was fondly referred to as ?dusted,? in which your entire body was reduced to ash. And at that, you died for real. That was a serious letdown. It took all the fun out of killing knowing they weren?t really going to die. What a joke. The Synex had gone soft, lost their edge. The ape didn?t care much that he couldn?t fly, or was only allowed two of his abilities. He only needed one to get the job done. Bardock returned to his food, having already eliminated half of the ingestible goodness before him.

?So if there are more like me, then that means I have a better chance of finding my parents?? Goku Junior spoke again.

?You got it, kid,? Bardock answered, glancing down at the little fighter before continuing his ravenous consumption. GJ finally took an interest in something other than the older saiya-jin. Bar knew he wasn?t treating the kid right, but this wasn?t the time or the place to be handling a situation like this. Besides, the seasoned warrior figured it would be better for the tyke to associate with another saiya-jin?any other saiyan. Bardock had long since decided he had nothing to offer to anyone.

He was in mid-swallow when another person stormed the scene.

?Heya, Pops. Long time, no see,? Raditzu greeted, slapping Bardock?s back forcefully. The gesture caused the latter to momentarily choke before he could force down the lump of masticated grub.

?Hey Rad,? Gohan welcomed, weaving through the crowd. His outfit was now speckled with blood. ?How?s things??

Bardock?s grandson motioned for a round of drinks, and the elder saiyan happily dumped out the contents of that horrendous diet Coke on the floor without any regard as to who was going to have to clean it up.

?Still alive?? Bardock gestured to Raditzu.

?Unfortunately,? the longhaired fighter grinned. ?I could say the same of you.?

?You?re missing something,? Bar noted. Rad just shrugged in a What can you do? expression. This caused the spiky-haired soldier to laugh.

The drinks arrived. Bardock grabbed his glass and motioned upwards. All three clinked their glasses and tipped back, a subtle token of solidarity. The patriarch of the family turned to the youngest.

?So, like I said, how?s it, Gohan??

He didn?t know why, but there was something unsettling that he sensed about the teenager. His eyes in the brief fit of anger had given a flicker, a mere glimmer of it, away. Bardock had a great deal of inadequacies, but he was tired of running from them.

Murasaki lowered his hand towards his glass, his eyes still staying motionless as they were fixed upon the TV over the bar. A wrestling match was on?.ah yes for the people who couldn?t fight.

?The names Murasaki,? the ninja said his eyes never leaving the talking box. He took another swig of the alcohol. He coughed as he swallowed the poison. His right hand let go of the glass in front of him and reached for the small bowl of peanuts that sat to his right. Beer nuts and liquor, life seemed pretty decent at the moment. He looked to his left, noticing the one who called himself Olibu, his blond hair running thick and long down to the small of his back. He had already downed his two shots and was fast approaching needing to order another beer. The lime had fallen through the mouth of the bottle, splashing into what was left of the beer.

It foamed up a little before dying down again, the fair haired boy sipping away at it. Murasaki looked at the clock above the bar, it read 11:45.

?Well then the meet-and-greet is about to start, what do you say we head on over there?? He looked at the blond haired boy for the first time. He was surprised to see a fairly attractive male sitting next to him. Fighters weren?t supposed to look like he did. No they were supposed to be rigid, coarse, not beautiful and prim. While this Olibu figure didn?t seem like he would be much a threat Murasaki had learned not to judge a book by its cover. This might be all a fa?ade the ninja didn?t know. The dark clad figure pounded back the last of his drink and placed the remaining but of currency within his satchel upon the bar. The tender was pretty. He might have to visit her later.

?So off we go?.my stomachs itching for some food.?

OOC: If you want Olibu RP us going to the picnic.

Super Buu strolled across the gigantic complex, hands intertwined behind his head. Finding the Information Center hadn?t really been as easy as he?d hoped.

?This is fuckin? pointless!? he snarled, displaying his white fangs. ?I didn?t join a fighting contest to spend hours wandering around. I could have done that at Lord Vine?s palace!?

Looking around with a bored expression, he noticed a giant sign that said ?Restaurant?, above a nearby building. It got the point across - Buu hadn?t eaten since breakfast, and he was absolutely starving. With a spring in his step, he headed over to the restaurant and pushed open the door.

As the pink being stepped inside, a warm breeze immediately enveloped his form. He shivered with the pleasant sensation, rubbing his bare arms as he realised just how cold he was. His anticipation of a hearty meal was dashed on the rocks, however, as he realised the restaurant was full to the brim. Just as he was about to turn away, a familiar figure caught his eyes. He gasped.

?Kid?? he queried, incredulously.

?Oh.? The disappointed sound came from a pink, childlike figure who was sitting on a chair, his legs dangling over the edge. ?It?s you.?

Super Buu?s eyes drifted to the other person sat at the table. Immediately, he recognised her. That purple hair ? ?Violet?? The girl gave no response. She was frozen, staring, taken completely off-guard.

The one known as Kid Buu breathed a sigh. ?WAITER!? his strange new bass-like voice, unfamiliar to Super Buu, called. ?Forget my order. Just get me a glass of Jack Daniel?s.?

?Hm ?? the waiter looked dubious. ?I?m sorry, but we don?t serve children alcohol.?

?Ch -!? the short being looked at the waiter in disbelief, before banging his pink fist down on the table, causing it to rattle violently. ?Listen to me! I am not a child! Now, run along -? he paused to inspect the waiter?s badge, ?- Greg, and I might not tell your boss you refused to serve a customer.?

?You?ll have to take it up with the management, sir.? The man chuckled to himself and walked off to attend some other patrons who?d been trying to catch his eye for the past few minutes.

Casting aside all inhibitions, Kid Buu slammed his forehead down on the table, slowly brought it back up, and repeated. After all, things couldn?t really get much worse. Unfortunately, however, the majin?s older-looking counterpart wasn?t happy to let him wallow in misery.

?When did you learn how to talk?? queried Super, mouth agape. He narrowed his eyes suspiciously. ?You are the Kid Buu I know, right??

?Yes. Well, no. Well, sort of.? The smaller being kneaded his forehead with his fists, trying to put it into words that his less-gifted brother would understand. ?How about you go off to the bar and order us some drinks, then I?ll explain everything. If I must to talk to you, I should at least be dumbed down to your level.?

Super Buu wasn?t in a mood to be chastised, but it was either that or find some other place to eat. There was no contest. ?Fine. What do you want??

?Ask for three Flaming Jesuses. You got that??

?Three Gay Jesuses. Got it.? The magical entity nodded.

?No,? the short being reprised sternly. ?Flaming Jesuses. Can you do that for me??

?Right, right, three Faggot Jesuses.? Super Buu blew air through his teeth irritably. ?Get off my fuckin? back, will ya? Man, I preferred you when you couldn?t talk.?

Kid simply stared in disbelief as his older-looking counterpart went over to the bar. Well, he proved me wrong, he thought. Things could get worse after all.

As the designated round-getter-inner approached the bar, his eyes scanned the numerous brightly-coloured bottles behind the counter. Alien names like ?Bacardi?, ?Fosters?, and numerous others filled his mind with confusion. Didn?t they serve water at this place?

?Yes?? asked a woman behind the bar, seizing Buu?s eye contact with an expectant look.

?Um, I?d like, uh ?? the pink being wracked his mind. What was it? ?Three ? Jesus ? drinks. I think,? he added, nodding his head vigorously.

?Sweet Jesus? Purple Jesus? Flaming Jesus?? the bartender listed off names on her fingers, not even having to look for a list.

?Flaming Jesus! That?s the one!? Super Buu pointed his finger triumphantly into the air. ?Three Gay Jesuses!?

The woman raised an eyebrow. ?I?ll just get your Flaming Jesuses,? she muttered, and pulled out some bottles.

Soon the puttylike being was making his way back to the table, proudly holding three shot glasses. He banged them down in front of his friends, somehow managing not to spill any of the precious liquor. ?Now, then!? he announced, pulling up a chair to sit down in. ?I believe you owe me an explanation!?

?I think we could all do with a drink first,? said Kid Buu, raising his glass and blowing out the flame. ?Bottoms up!? With that, he promptly downed the contents of the glass, smacking his lips with an ?ah!?

Following his smaller brother, Super Buu threw the glass backwards, then started to scream; ?FIRE! FIRE! IT BURNS!?

?You?re supposed to blow it out first, you idiot!? raved the smaller being, wildly jabbing a finger at his brother who was now rolling around on the floor.

?Put it out!? screeched the flaming creature, frantically patting his head. Soon two waiters ran to his aid with fire extinguishers, and in a few seconds he was in the green again. A few laughs chorused around the restaurant, and Buu sat down, pink with embarrassment. His mouth still burned, though, and he smacked his lips before asking, ?what the hell was in that? It doesn?t taste like anything I?ve ever had before.?

Once again, Kid Buu slammed his head down on the table. ?Please, tell me we weren?t made by the same wizard.?

OOC: Though I wrote the post, me, Violet and KB all collaborated for the ideas for it. Hopefully it was funny enough =P Anyway, this is my last post until I get back from France in 3 days, so until then KB's got full control over what happens with my character. Anyone else from CU is allowed to RP me, and I know Gohan and Rad met Super briefly in the Vegeta-sei saga - both are welcome to come and say hi or whatever.

Numb.

It was the only sensation she could understand at this point. It was a torrent of coolness just under her skin that pulsed gently. It wasn?t the muscles; it was that force within her that held her together. An odd sensation it was, but to her, however, familiar; the side effect of it was always not all too stable, unfortunately.

All this time, she had hyped herself up with the promise of inflicting bodily harm on the pink wad of gum, but sitting there in that chair, she just?was at a loss. This guy was the one her heart had locked onto for months, whom she had at first thought of as dead and then found out not too long ago was indeed alive, sat in his chair, acting like a moron with flames shooting from his mouth. It was supposed to be funny, but she wasn?t finding it anything less than paralyzing. A twitch began to work at her left eye.

?FIRE! FIRE! IT BURNS!?

?You?re supposed to blow it out first, you idiot!? Kid Buu scolded his bigger counterpart, pointing a mad finger at the writhing Super Buu, trying desperately to extinguish the flames. Idiot. Obviously, he never had alcohol before in his life; and that was just sad.

?Put it out!? he screeched, the sound a sad level that of a six year old girl. Kid just looked on at him with a look that was a crumpled mixture of annoyance and embarrassment.

Two men garbed in white aprons came pounding out from behind the long wooden bar, carrying fire extinguishers. Immediately, they sprang into action, releasing the white foam from the nozzles onto the inferno like roar of fire coming from Buu?s mouth. The flames died away quickly, and he sighed a breath of relief, but his rose cheeks (if they can get any pinker) gave away his own discomfiture. Trying to put off the still steaming pain in his mouth, he made a good act of pretending it didn?t happen. ?What the hell was in that? It doesn?t taste like anything I?ve ever had before.?

Grimacing, the smaller twin slammed his forehead into the polished surface of the cherry wood table. ?Please, tell me we weren?t made by the same wizard.?

Violet grunted in impatience, letting that small wall of will power crack. A burst of her dark aura shelled around her, and slammed an invisible hand into the two Majins, making them sober up momentarily.

Her hand trailed down to her lap, pushing slowly into her jean pocket. Slim fingertips softly trailed over the orphaned flap of white canvas, her small piece of him she kept since she found it on the Red Stallion?s carrier, the last place she had seen him. All the anger she held began so slither into that small piece of fabric as she pulled it free of her pocket, and then resting her balled fist onto the table. She played with it, her icy gaze steady on the larger monster. He blinked stupidly once, the childish demeanor dripped away, leaving behind his more stern presence, the one that made him unpredictable.

The piece of clothing in her hand began to glow, and she crumpled it up; in one swift motion, chucked it across the table, beaming him in the head with it, much to his displeasure.

?What?s your problem, fleshbag??

Sparks of anger shimmered from her irises as she held herself at bay. ?I don?t believe you are here. All this fucking time you have been gone, and all that time I was on Vegeta, and you couldn?t even let me know you were ok?? She said quietly, patting herself mentally on the shoulder for not exploding on him. Good girl? She told herself.

?Was it any of your business where I was?? He drew, taking the shot glass in his hand. A small bit of the drink that hadn?t managed to spill out, swirled dully in the bottom, the amber color sparkling in the low light prettily. He tipped the glass towards his face, long blue tounge snaking out to touch the edge of the glass, finding it wasn?t hot anymore, and wanted to know what that foreign taste was that it contained.

?As your clan mate, no.? She said. But, as your friend, it would have been nice to know that you didn?t fucking die on that ship, letting me believe that you had been taken away forever! ?But, as your firend, it would have really taken a lot off my shoulders.?

He looked at her curiously, and downed the rest of the drink.

?I say the penalty for this slipup, is a challenge.? She let it slip easily from her lips, a sardonic curling them in pleasure. Her fingers wrapped around the small vessel, the flame long burnt out, and gulped it all down, slamming it hard back on the table. ?What do you say, monster??
