1) First and foremost, why should you be selected to play?

Well, why shouldn't I? I've been here for almost 7 months now, I hang out here for the majority of my day, I know this place almost inside out (still trying to find out what happened to VJ...that mystery still nags the hell outta me. =\) The majority of the people here like me, as far as I know, unless they are just saying it to make me feel better. ;,;

Anyhoo, I think I should be selected to play because when I put my mind to something, I get it done (unless my temporary ADD kicks in, then I need a nice swift kick in the rear to get me going again, lol) and also, I spend alot of time on here, have invested loads of time that could be spent doing something else, here. Also, I try to help when I can, where I can.

2) What qualities do you possess that will make you the Idol?

I am a fair person, forgiving on most fronts, and like to help people. Alot. Sometimes these can be my fallocies, but I try to use them as my strength as well.
Again, when I set my mind to something, I tend to get it done. I don't like to lag behind (Except when its beyond my control) and if FoF is any indication, I keep on top of things.

I have alot of ideas for this community, and I think if I was chosen, I think I can leave a positive impression on the board.

3) Tell me any previous experience you have with running an RPG. Included should be the name of the RPG, the genre, and how long it lasted.

1) VTG RPG- 2000-late 2003 DBZ RPG. Originally, it started out as playing by emails, but after the original webmaster left (whom I still talk to on occasion. He had to leave for personal business, and left me in charge) I took over duties and managed upwards to about 30 players at a single time by myself, until, after someone hacked our site, (this was due to the original webmaster hiring a new staff member, untrustworthy to say the least =\) I moved it over to a forum, where it continued for another year and a half, and was aided by two other mods keeping tabs on 40 players at any given time. It all went down after I moved and lost my internet connection and the mods became overzealous and players left.

2) Vegeta's DBZ RPG- 2002-2004 DBZ RPG, forum based. I became moderator over there about a month into my membership, and managed over 30 players on my own, updating stats by hand, running quests, sagas, answering questions, members, and other duties for the year and a half I was there, when out of the blue, the administrator decided to turn it into an Inu Yasha RPG, and all the players left, and moved over to my board. (The admin was a tad like VJ, always dissappearing and could almost never be contacted.) I can say without being arrogant about it, that I ran that game as well. It was pretty successful up until the owner decided to change it, and then couldn't make up his mind about what he wanted to do.

3) Stars of the Apocolypse- Chat based fantasy RPG. 2005. The game itself didn't last too long, mainly because of its limitations to players (only AOL members could play, thus detering rather good RPGers away, because it was played in AOL chat rooms). But I helped to run storylines for players up until it closed down.

4) Friend or Foe- anime RPG- forum based. It is still running, and I have been administrator over there for about a month now, a little less, but you can ask any of the players how I am doing. I have a bunch of plans in the works over there at the moment.

4) Finally, you need to write a short essay/description (200+ words) of what you feel being a staff member of Chubbs is all about. What do you think is nessecary, what do you think has to be done. Be detailed, as much as you can. Don't kiss our asses, we arn't looking for compliments.

Being a staff member on CDBZ is about being fair, unbiased (most of the time, even though some of the stuff does give me the chuckles. tee hee.) and foremost, selfless. You have to dedicate your time to others, without letting stubborness and disregardation irritate you, and you have to be good at working with others, while at the same time, trying to be a model player for the regular players, keeping up with your own IC duties as well as OOC.

Creativity is a must, especially when trying to exert ideas into play that would improve the overall experience of the game, keeping it fresh and not boring. Patience is not only a virtue, but a necessity, especially in a community with 60+ players and heaps of impatient newcomers. Its good to have it implanted that they are new, and don't necessarily know what kind of place this is, where, they go to other RPG's, don't even have to worry about reading rules, or know much about the structure and continuity of storylines, and get by pretty easily. Explaining to them that this is a whole other ballpark than what they are used to on a continual basis, even requoting the same thing to the same person over and over, it can get unnerving, but again, patience is makes the staff member.

It takes a lot of effort to keep a community together, and seeing as how this place has managed to stick together for so long, something can be said about the current staff and members that when you put your mind to something, anything can happen, and of all the RPG's that I have been to, nothing can tantamount this one.

It would be an honor and privelege to become a staff member here, to help out dozens of people daily, make new friends, and make sure everyone has a pleasant experience.

Yes. I know you are a very dedicated person and I may have only been at FoF a tiny bit, but it appears you are quite apt to help run the place. I just hope you can run in a different setting, because Chubbs has a bigger, more 'formal (bad word, I guess) atmosphere.
