?FUCK, this day has gone to shit!? Nappa yelled out to no one in particular as he motioned for the gates of his fort to be opened. The only thing positive about the day was The Fort at Monte Cristo was complete and it looked spectacular. Jonga had greeted him at the gate along with a few messengers.

?General Nappa, the commander is resting in your quarters. I will have my messengers take him to you now, but I will say he is in no mood for bad news,? Jonga explained, ushering the general towards a skinny messenger soldier.

?Well have someone tend to my soldiers, they are weary from the god damn double march,? Nappa screamed, lifting his pistol in the air and firing three shots off into the sky. The shots were just blowing off steam, but every soldier in the entire fort popped their heads out to take a peek.

His anger quickly turned to a insane like laughter as he realized what he had in his box. Garlic wouldn?t be too upset once he found out what it was the saiya-jin had found inside one of his liquor boxes. ?Alright, take me to the General! Oh and Jonga, begin preparations for upgrading this place. I want it to be the grandest fortress this world has ever seen!? Nappa boomed, his voice carrying over he many soldiers around him.

Nappa and the messenger who was guiding him scurried off towards the headquarters. The bald warrior clenched the bag of strawberry flavored candy in his pocket, and opened the doors to his quarters.

?Hey Garlic, catch!? Nappa yawned, launching the bag across the room. The green skinned commander lifted his open palm right before the bag smacked him in the face, and snatched it out of the air.

(OOC: small, but whateva. Nappa has no idea of what happened at the village so fill him in)

Jeice quietly watched as his companions rushed back and forth, with their on task notions. Everything seemed to be going as planned for their army, so far there weren?t any casualties and only one harmed soldier. It disgusted the red fighter, the senseless killing that had to take place. It wasn?t something he liked to take part in, but it was necessary for this situation. Besides, there was no turning back now.

He became enclosed in his thoughts. Thinking about the death and killing that he had witnessed, and the death and killing he would further witness in this war. However it was what needed to be done, and it was what he was going to do. Snapping back to reality he reached behind his belt and latched onto a handle of a 45. He took out his gun and began to examine the encryption on it. It was some sort of alien symbol with ?United? written in small letters underneath it.

It a chrome piece with a black steal Handle. It had a full clip loaded and laser point for extra accuracy. Jeice didn?t usually come across guns, in fact this was one of the few times he had wielded such a weapon. Hand to hand combat was more his type, but it would be senseless to go after someone that was armed when your unarmed.

?Hey?uh?Jeice?is it?? He heard a voice call for him.

Looking up it was General Garlic calling for him, he returned the gun to its holster. Quickly responding the red fighter stood upright and prepared for instruction. One thing about him was that he always respected his superiors, something he picked up in various martial arts schools as a boy.

?Yes sir?? Jeice replied eagerly.

?I?m going to need a unit to travel for us?get done what needs to be done, you understand?? Garlic explained.

?Yes sir, who will this unit consist of?? The red fighter replied.

?You and Nappa will lead the way?take as many soldiers with you as you can?we?re counting on you? Here are the details.? Garlic handed over a yellowish folder with papers folding out of the sides. ?I trust that you won?t be letting us down, good luck soldier.?

?You can count on us sir.? Jeice said as he grabbed onto the folder.

Jeice began to look around for the bald saiyan to inform him of their new task.

(OOC: Got the instructions.)

Celipa's rear was nestled comfortably into the squishy seat of a red velvet chair, which in turn was pulled up to a crackling and warm fire. Her bandages (on her wounded stomach) had been newly changed and she was more than enjoying the High Rank accomodations she was recieving for her services.

But she knew there would be more life risking involved if she wanted to keep recieving these special privileges. More wounds, possibly worse than the one she wore on her stomach.

But for now, she sat comfortably in her red robe, nestled tightly in a blanket and sipping some hot tea. From behind, she heard footsteps approaching. The butler, probably.

A voice comfirmed her suspicions.

"More tea, Miss Celipa?"

The man in the tailcoat appeared in front of her, adjusting her foot stool to a more comfortable position.

Cel pondered a sec...did she want more tea? Yeah, she did.

"Yes please, more tea would be awesome," she concluded, handing the butler her near empty cup. "And another blanket too, if you'd be so kind."

Other than the butler, no one had intruded on her privacy on this room. There was a sign on the door that said:

Quote:DO NOT DISTURB!

After all, an injured soldier needed her privacy! Cel smiled warmly at the fire, and wiggled deeper into her large comforter.

The loss of Freelorn was devastating and had left a bad taste in the mouth of the saiyan warrior. The fort was well defended and served as a good place for a rest. All the familiar faces from the beginning of the battle were there and trying to recover from what seemed to be a defeat at the hands of a rival army.

Thoughts of Celipa's health drifted through the back of the saiyans mind. He had seend here being carried in and her injury seemed pretty severe, but that was the way of war, that was the sacrifice that must be made for victory. He began to wander around the fort looking for anyone that he can talk to. It was a huge place, where was he supposed to begin. The other members of the United army could be any where and he was in no mood to begin a wild goose chase.

There was a randomly placed seat in the middle of the fortress corridor and the saiyan decided to take it upon himself to take a load off. He folded his arms above his head and leaned backwards in his velvet laced chair. Para knew Nappa and Jeice were there somewhere in this mighty defensive structure but he didnt feel like looking for them. The constant marching and working involved in this great battle tired the saiyan and left only relaxation on his mind.

Paragus placed his right foot over his left and kicked off his boot followed by doing the same thing for the other. A feeling of relief came over, his feet were killing him and he despratley needed a new pair of boots. Visions of sheep jumping over a wooden fence passed through the saiyans thoughts as he tried to go to sleep.

"1,2,3,4" Four sheep was all it took before the saiyan was napping like a baby and reaming sweet dreams of trench warfare and regiments marching in complete unison.

"Too bad real war isn't like chess, eh?" Doogie had taken to vsiting Garlic's room now and again and asking for a game of chess. Garlic knew it was only to check up on him. Still, even though he wouldn't admit it, he kind of enjoyed the kid's company, and he did owe him his life.

"My knight's on D-5, why'd you even move there?" Garlic shook his head. Doctors... smart but no sense of strategy.

"I'll bounce back." he laughed, even as Garlic took his Bishop. "You on the other han-dow." Garlic lined up another one of his taken pawns and aimed for the red mark left by the previous one he flicked. "Alright, no doctor talk."

"That's my boy. Now shut up and make a move." They continued trading blows, strategically positioning pieces, making failed jabs and feints at the enemy. Then Doogie fucked up again.

"Ah! What the hell is this Doog? Huh? You trying to make this easy for me?" Garlic said it with a smile. He knew he had won.

"Good game, G."

"Damn straight," Garlic muttered. Another Bishop bit the dust. In complete silence the doctor reach over the battlefield and laid hands on his queen.

"Shi..." Garlic saw his error. A nice clear line... right to his last knight.

"And thats Checkmate." The smug human leaned back in his chair and let out his best shit eating grin. Garlic refused to give in.

"No no no. You were just to stupid to see a way out. I can... can..." Doogie got to his feet and rubbed Garlic's bald head.

"See you latter G." Garlic cursed at the kid's retreating form.

"Doctors... no modesty."

Gokua raised a hand, signaling the unit to stop. ?We?re here.?

?We?re here!? Kiro shouted out to the rest of the unit.

They gazed at the large gates of the fortress before them; it was Monte Christo. They had traveled long and far to finally arrive to their intended designation, and it would be well worth it. Inside, beds and supplies would surely be plentiful; and that brought comfort to his exhausted group. They were tired of resting on the cold ground and eating out of cans. This was their reward, so to speak.

The gates slowly opened as the guards that watched over the land recognized the color of the unit; red. Gokua gradually guided his steed in, and his men soon followed?Kiro went second, and then the rest of the men soon entered.

A petite group of odd soldiers cheered Gokua?s unit to their arrival. The alien smiled, knowing that his travel was not in vain. He hopped off of his steed, and with a gentle snap of his fingers, a soldier took the reins of his pearl-white stallion and slowly took it over to the horses? range.

?W?we?re really here!? a soldier exclaimed, unable to keep his enthusiasm inside any longer. ?Alas, real food and actual resting places! We will live like real men, and not poor peasants!?

Kiro looked back. ?Please, this is merely a pit-stop, I presume, so don?t get too attached to this place.? He looked back at his leader. ?Isn?t that right, General Gokua??

?I am not entirely sure, Kiro,? he replied as he looked over the fortress. ?The one thing I do know, however, I shall find me a saloon and have my way with their alcoholic beverages.?

A sweat drop trickled down Kiro?s dry head. ?That idiot always thinks about getting tipsy,? he muttered, but his effort was in vain. Gokua?s large ears allowed him to hear the remark.

The orange-haired warrior chuckled. ?Damn right." he muttered back. "Men!? he abruptly shouted. ?Now, have fun tonight?you deserve it!?

The men cheered with great joy as they soon dispersed.

A rich, firebrick fluid from a previous skirmish had dried lightly on a shattered stone pillar. The solid column had endured the worst end of a stray energy blast by the looks, and a victim of the structure's last few seconds lay dead underneath it; his body was half under, the other half was out - crushed like fruit. The skinny, cold hand of the dead minor was enclosed within a spiky black-haired warrior's.

?Need a hand?? the man joked, the infantry were speechless at such a derogatory remark, but he didn't care.

?Do you Saiya-jin have no respect? He died valiantly, in action!? a scout retorted.

?Oh come on, I was trying to lighten the mood. Ever since this whole thing came into play, you've all been lifeless, scared. Is that how you want to fill out this competition? Maybe we'll arrive at camp soon, or maybe we'll find someone willing to help us. Heck, maybe we will even find the team we were assigned to after disappearing from them for days.?

It was a bold perspective, but also a foolishly dangerous one. It was typical of an idealist to hope for something fortuous to occur anytime soon. Kollifum, however, didn't seem himself as an idealist. His ideas were usually frolicks more then sensible or practical solutions, unless something required professionalism or seriousness on his half. Lately though, the anticipation of war and a great deal of appetence had been exasperatingly difficult to sustain. It had driven him crazy - he wasn't usually this light hearted.

The stunning panorama was exclusively filled with lush greens and blues, but this was more of an abandoned, ruined, settlement to be exact. Although, that didn't neglect any beauty it once held. They soon found themselves an exit from the village, and set course for a square of land they identified as base. The team of soldiers were always stout and alert through the journey, attempting to corroborate their terrain negotiating skills with Kollifum, their leader. Though the only place his eyes were set, was the sun, and the trail of dirt and herbage under his boots.

?Master Kollifum!? a soldier behind clamoured.

?What?? He was feeling kind of grouchy, the hills and rolling banks had his legs feeling like jelly.

?We have made contact with General Garlic Junior, sire. Not physically, but we're sure he is in the area.?

?Nice work, men.? The troops and their corporal began their last three minutes towards their affirmed destination.

?Is everyone moving?? Garlic tried to ignore the crack in his voice. Still fucking sick.

?As well as could be expected, Sir.? Garlic could have cared less what the boy said, he was already out of his tent. Recent news left him a little frayed. Nappa was gone. Into thin air it seemed, though nothing about the monster of a man was thin save his facial hair.

?Pick up the pace!? Garlic made his usual rounds, brow beating the soldiers all around him into a faster marching speed. He didn?t need any damned drums. But for all his gruff exterior he never let himself go over the edge. Oh no not like in the past. Old Garlic would have these bastards running the distance. A few dead bodies motivated quite nicely after all? The demon shook these thoughts away. That kind of action would loose him his respect. Fear is never a substitute for respect. He knew that now. Well, okay, hardly never.

?O?Neal take your unit to the left flank, I don?t want any of these beasts catching us with a weak spot.? The Sqaud leader saluted and turned to his men. Garlic caught he ruffle of a uniform behind him.

?Filling one hole merely opens two more.? Garlic glanced up into the scrunched face of his addresser.

?And who do you think you are, Gramps? I don?t need any of your sage fortune cookie bullshit, thank you very much.?

?Mmm. Well one more cookie if you will listen.? The older man pointed to Garlic?s feet, ?You are standing on a hand.? The goblins eyes swiveled to the dirt floor.

?Holy shit!? He hopped off the thing and kneeled down over it. A hand it was. He ran one small finger down its palm. Cold and? hard? It wasn?t decayed at all. It couldn?t be fresh either, the dirt was hard packed. It had to have been uncovered by their construction. An arm of a discarded robot or something. The goblin grabbed a rather large finger and heaved. The reactions of the soldiers around him would have been hilarious if wasn?t for Garlic?s own surprise. There was a whole body attached to that hand.

?What the?? A full fledged android? Garlic closely examined its chiseled face, topped with locks of orange hair.

?Who are you?? He whispered. The soldiers were crowding in now and they were as curious as he. They were probably clueless as to the thing?s origins, or even if it was still operational. But they didn?t have ki sense. Junior let his eyes flutter shut and the world fade around him. There was only him and the body. His soul and? was there a soul in there? Garlic reached out with his being, let them become one. It was cold in there; as cold as he had felt outside. But? he moved through the darkness of the things being and felt it. A spark? a dim spark of ki still burning. Interesting. He let his own ki surround the spark and embrace it. This would either work or blow the damned thing up. It was worth a shot.

?Hyah!? Garlic?s eyes shot open as gigawatts worth of ki jolted though him and into the odd robot laying at his mercy. The spark fluttered and grew. Then... an explosion! But not one of flames and light. One of life.

The seemingly lifeless android had been laying in that very spot for what seemed to be ages, unable to function properly from a prior fight. He was almost completely covered in dirt, with only his hand and foot visible from above. Sixteen was barely able to keep his mechanical body from completely terminating, and was just holding on by a few volts of electricity.

He?d been waiting patiently for many ages for someone to stumble upon his massive body, someone who would be able to help him recover. Sixteen was unable to feel the ground around him, or the fact that hundreds of combat boots passed over his body. He wasn?t able to feel this small, green, and germ infested hand grab hold of his own.

The hand ripped at the other, removing the inanimate body out from the damp and worm filled soil.

Still unable to see or feel the many people standing around him watching as a small goblin placed another hand down on the powerless hand. The goblin?s eye?s widened, and with a thrust he surged the perfect amount of ki energy into the malfunctioning warrior. His circuits had been rejuvenated with the small boost of life he?d received, and the engine inside him that was his heart began to tick at it?s normal speed.

The blood, oil, and coolant mixture began churning through his body once more while the feeling returned to his fingers. Sixteen grasped the hand that still held on to his own tightly, and with another heave the three hundred pound warrior was lifted to his still wobbly feet.

?Who are you, and where am I?? questioned the mechanical being, moving his jaw around to get the feeling back into it.

?I am Garlic you moron, you can?t remember?? the goblin spat, kicking his legs about waiting for the captured android to drop him from his grasp.

Sixteen smiled at the miniature man as he placed him gently onto the surface. ?I?m sorry but I do not remember. Where am I Garlic, and what are all these people around me?? he replied calmly, shaking his head around trying to get his memory back.

?Dude your in the middle of a war, and I ask for you to join me in my fight against the other, far more evil opponents,? Jr. explained as he paced a few yards.

?I will not join your side, I have no reason to fight in this war. But I would like to accompany you so that I may be able to regain some of my own memories while you tell me a little about yours,? the android implied, plainly stating his intentions.

(OOC: first Rp as 16, yay. Garlic I am on your side, just gotta get some emotional trigger to make me want to fight.)

A blurred image of the Forts mighty hallways was the first thing the saiyan saw when he awoke from his slumber. Paragus brought his white glove to his eye and wiped away the crust of sleep. With one shake of his head he awoke and stood up from his velvet laced seat. He stood up and extended his arms outward and delivered a powerful yawn.

The war had bored him since the humiliating retreat at Freelorn. He wouldnt allow that kind of defeat happen again, no matter what it took. The air outside was cool, but was warm compared to earlier days of this giant battle. He took a deep breath and felt the warm sensation pass down into his mighty lungs.

The fortress stood tall in the middle of the great plain. Its mighty stone walls would protect against any fierce attack, and a fierce attack could strike at any monent. Paragus looked up at the giant building that seemed to extend to the clouds above. He turned around after his gazing period was over and walked around to find some other comrades.

As the saiyan turned around to continue his search he collided shoulder to shoulder with a young boy who seemed to be dressed for war and ready for batttle. The young child fell to the ground and now sat on the floor looking upward at the saiyan warrior. The saiyan extended his hand and offered to help the adolescent to his feet.

"I dont need your help" The young child said helping him self up.

In the midst of young fighter working his way up a tail appeared behind him. The young boy was in fact a saiyan.

"Ok no problem. Whats your Name" Paragus asked watching the young warrior brush himself off.

"My name is Yoy" Yoy said with a sense of pride in his voice. "I come straight from the war with the Cold Empire on Vegeta-Sei. Those bastards" He informed the saiyan with his experiences of war.

Paragus only nodded not wanting to talk to much about the war he died in. He still had nightmares about that final battle with the changelings that took his life. He still worried about his sister Corlin, he missed her with every passing second of his life.

Yoy extended his hand with a stern look on his face. "It was nice meeting you Sir" The young man said with a salute which was followed by a returning gesture of "at ease".

"Para, get your ass over here" Garlic Jr appeared in a distance and called for Para to come over, something was up and he rushed over to find out what it was.

Jeice quietly sat on the foregrounds of the fort with his legs crossed. He was aware that there was much to be done, however he had no will to continue this war. Senseless violence was not something he wanted to be apart. His companions had begun ahead while he stayed back, trying to pull himself together, and figure out what he would do.

He pulled out the gun he kept with him once more to examine it. Seeing his reflection in the chrome cover of the weapon, the red fighter stood upright and started to walk towards the entrance of the fort. He was now sure of what he would do, it wasn?t in him to give up, but he had another idea, something that would help his and his army?s situations.

As he entered the fort he slowly walked through the halls peeking his head through each door, looking for the armory. As he progressed through the dimly lit hall he passed a few foot soldiers bearing what looked to be rifles with scopes on them.

?Excuse me?but do either of you know where the armory is?? Jeice asked as he stopped in front of them.

?Yeah?its through that door there.? The soldier responded in a still tone.

?Thank you.? The red soldier replied as he headed for the pointed out door.

He rushed in. Weapons filled the walls; crates of weapons were spread out on the floors. Loose bullet shells laid on the floor next to unused guns. Jeice walked through the room looking for the specific weapon he wanted to use for his devastating attack.

Suddenly his steps stopped as he passed one of the crates. It was what he had been looking for. The red fighter began strapping himself with enough ammunition to take on an entire army. However he concealed the weapons under his clothes, he didn?t want anyone to know of what he was planning to do.

He left the room as if nothing had happened and headed for the exit of the fort. There was no turning back now.
