The saiya-jin elite?s head was throbbing from all the calculating he?d done the night before. Going over hundreds of different idea?s and scenario?s with his lieutenant, ranging from defense to offense. From what he knew, his ever growing unit?s spirit was still very high, and they trusted the general with their lives.
Nappa had visitors come by the night before, trampling through his camp and setting up their tents here as well. The unit wasn?t as big as his own, but it was lead by an odd looking fellow by the name of Gokua. He waited for this General to come into his tent and introduce himself, but instead a messenger came and said that his leader was too tired from the march to speak. So the fighter sat in his tent, listening to the many sounds from just outside his tent as he sipped on a fresh cup of coffee. He?d given the army his stash of coffee beans as well, as a token of his gratitude. He heard the sounds of stone being pounded into a more usable size and shape, wood being chopped, boots flying across the dead leaves. He?d planned on finishing this construction, and going back up to his beloved fort. Hoping to see it?s newest addition, and marvel at it?s beauty. But the mighty saiya-jin had to shake his precious fort from his mind, and concentrate on devising a plan for his commander. After all he was Garlic?s right hand man, and most trusted informant. ?Edmond, come in here please,? Nappa shouted, as he reached into a drawer. Picking out a sheet of paper and pen, the general jotted down a small note. Quote:Gokua, ?Yes General Nappa?? the lieutenant replied, obediently. ?Send this to Gokua, I wish to speak with him immediately.? The giant answered, tossing him the rubber band strapped piece of paper.

Gokua?s unit had structured a few tents in the same area that Nappa?s men had already posted their camp. It was not to be disrespectful, no, but it was simply to get his men into the sheltering pieces of cloth. They deserved it. To have done as much constant work as the alien?s men was commendable, and this was the orange-haired officer?s way of repaying them for their loyalty and effort.
?Gokua, sir,? a man said as he slowly jogged over to the alien, a note was firmly in his grasp. ?Sir, I have a note from the commanding officer that was stationed here, prior to your arrival.? Gokua had just rolled the small amount of marijuana he had left on him from the escapades he endured before the competition. The herb had been nicely rolled into a cigar that had been sliced down the middle and opened up for the cannabis to be placed inside. He put the blunt between his two lips and pulled his trusty lighter from his pocket, bringing it to the blunt?s end. ?Oh really?? the turquoise man replied as he stretched his hand outward to receive the note. The soldier handed him the note and then slowly began to walk away. ?General Nappa is stationed in the tent with the United Army insignia on it.? Gokua scraped his thumb on the lighter?s ignition wheel, forcing the flame to emerge and light his blunt. As he then slipped the lighter back into his pocket, he opened the note. He took a small puff as his eyes went across the paper, reading what it said. Sure, why not? He tossed the note into the wind and looked at his unit. ?I shall be back shortly.? He then got up from the dry log he had been sitting on, and began to search for that damn tent. * * * * *
Nappa had been looking through countless documents of what had been occurring in the war already, and he was astonished. Syntech?s empire had almost fallen, but a few individuals still fought on to bring their faction a desperate victory; Dante?s Forces had done everything but announced inevitable victory; the Outcasts had only been doing miniscule tasks before they finally grew some testes and demanded a village that the United Army did occupy; and lastly, for some peculiar reason, people had judged the United Army as pussies for relinquishing a portion of their extended empire to the Outcasts. It was interesting to see some of the outsiders? perceptions on the war. But what did they know? Nothing. It didn?t matter however, for they were merely idiots that viewed from a spectator?s view, not an actual combatant?s. Nappa?s eyes then drew from the documents to the tent entrance. A small swishing sound had attracted his attention. Gokua entered. The alien looked at the small tent that the Saiyan had been provided, and it was shitty, but hell, Gokua was resting on a damn log, so he didn?t fair any better. Nappa stood to his feet. ?Greetings,? he said as an outstretched hand was sent to welcome the alien with a firm handshake. Gokua shook his hand. ?It is nice to meet another officer of the United Army.? The blunt was still between the orange-haired warrior?s dry lips. ?The pleasure?s all mine,? he replied as he then pulled the blunt from his mouth, but only to exhale; smoke blew out. Then he placed the blunt back in its place. ![]() Placed 3rd in Dante's Abyss 08

With the lyrics of ?The Howl? running through his mind, the scent of his newest companions cigar entered his nose. It was clearly a mixture of fine tobacco, and some marijuana mixed together. The scent brought up memories of his days in the saiya-jin special forces, when he himself toked the ganja.
?That a fifty fifty mixture you got there Gokua?? Nappa asked, pointing towards a seat in front of his small desk. ?No, I only left a small amount of tobacco in this one, and I just about used up all the cannabis I?ve got left,? replied the alien fighter, inhaling on the cigar once more. ?Pass that my way when you?ve had your fill. I think it a good a time as ever to take a short break from all my paper work,? the saiya-jin elite explained, with a smirk shining brightly on his face. The two warriors played the game of puff, puff, pass, as they chatted about the idea?s Nappa had conjured up the night before. His turquoise ally nodded, and agreed with a few idea?s, as well as placing in his own input on a few of them. The fighter particularly agreed with his take on defense, and what should be done with it. It was only about twenty minutes before the effects of the homegrown cannabis from within the cigar began to take its hold on the giant warrior. Slowly his body began to tingle, and his eyes glistened over. ?Edmond?. Bring that red guy Jonga was talking about a few days ago. I want to see if he can handle this blunt, because if he can?t he?d out of my unit for sure,? boomed the saiya-jin from his usual position at his desk. ?Also, tell him to bring something to eat and drink. My damn mouth is sooo dry.? ?Yeah, get some food!? Gokua called, agreeing with his saiya-jin general. The two generals looked like teenagers sitting in their rooms, with huge smiles that they had trouble removing. Nappa had said multiple times that he was unable to think, and or move. While Gokua sat idle, waiting for what seemed to be three years for the red fighter and the food to arrive. A typical night on ganja. ?General, he is here,? Edmond beckoned from just outside the tent. ?Well send him in! and he better have something to eat,? Nappa replied, hoarsly. |
