?Everybody?s going to the party have a real good time,? Gokua muttered as he dragged his feet through the barren plains, ?Dancing in the desert blowing up the sunshine.?

It had been days since his departure from Garlic Jr. and company to begin his journey, and he had already depleted all of his rations, water and food alike. The rays cast down from the relentless sun became worse with each passing sunrise, and it began to slowly take its toll on the alien warrior, especially in the last couple of days, for Gokua had misplaced his map and was recklessly wandering through the desert, creating an engraved path of a circle.

?Must?get to Monte Cristo,? he murmured, knowing that he could not endure such conditions much longer. ?Fucking sun.? He snatched his pouch from his waste and brought it to his mouth to relieve some of the heat by quenching his thirst. Nothing dripped out. ?Fuck, all out of alcohol.? He tossed the pouch aside. ?I don?t need that damn shit anyway, I should be just fine for a few more days.?

Unfortunately for the swordsman, when he used to fight for the good of his nation, he failed to receive desert training; Pathos did not possess any terrains nearly as cruel as a barren wasteland, and he was now being penalized for what his superiors did not provide. Now his fate rested in the merciful hands of God, which Gokua did not wish to rely on, but there was no other conclusion to his survival. He had to pray for an arrival to Monte Cristo. He had to pray for the grace of God to be bestowed upon him.
