#1 Contendership for the Asylum Championship: Aqua vs Gohan
#1
Aqua got jipped out of his title shot last week after his #1 Contendership match went to No Contest. He's getting a second chance here at Full Throttle against Gohan, who has been impressing management.

Having received his first non-win in his career in the form of a draw against his partner, Spop, Aqua had taken the past week fairly easy as far as training was concerned. He wanted to be completely recovered from his last match with Spop so that he could take on Gohan in the paperview with everything he had for the number one contender position. His high-flying, high-risk moves had really taken a toll on him lately, so the week of light lifting really did a lot in the way of helping him feel better.

He had yet to find out who it was that had left the rose and note on his car the week before. Yet, he had not given up hope on finding out the truth. He had left Burter alone since his last embarrassing appearance in his office and he noticed that there had been no recurrence of roses or letters, thus reinforcing his assumption that it was Burter who had left him the note.

Aqua had a special cloak on for his match with Gohan. It was solid black, same as the first, but the fabric was completely composed of silk, rather than the abrasive wool material of his normal cloak. So the outfit caught the light a bit as he moved. He was a bit nervous for the fight, to an extent he had not experienced since joining the CPW. He really wanted to make a great impression on his first paperview appearance.

Once Gohan had entered the ring, the rumbling bass of Aqua's entrance kicked up. Aqua had another grand entrance planned and he tensed a bit as he prepared to reveal himself in yet another spectacular way. It wasn't until he thought he heard something in the darkness behind him that he paused and turned to see what it was. He couldn't see anyone or anything and so he returned his focus to the task at hand.

The next thing Aqua knew, the ref was shaking him in an attempt to wake him up. He was loosely tied up in the middle of the ring. The crowd had not seen anything, because the lights had been switched off for his appearance. When the lights were turned back on, a bound Aqua was revealed in the middle of the ring, seemingly unconscious. The crowd booed as they suspected foul play by Gohan. Gohan looked around a bit confused by the entire situation. He had had nothing to with the events that had just transpired and, to be honest, was a bit disinterested.

The ref untied Aqua and explained what had happened to the Aqua-jin. Aqua simply rubbed the back of his neck and shook his head in confusion. It was then that he noticed the rose and note pinned to his cloak. He took the rose off and threw it to Gohan. The letter read as follows:

Only predators lurk in the darkness. Prey should not risk entering the homestead of evil, especially prey so weak as you.

-The Darkness

The letter utterly confused Aqua, even as the ref read it out loud to the audience. It couldn't have been Burter who had done all of this, as he was too busy during the night organizing the fights. Aqua shrugged it off for the moment, and executed a double back flip to land on the opposing ring post. The fans erupted in approval of his fighting spirit and willingness to continue the fight. With a fist pump from Aqua and a nod from Gohan to indicate they were both ready to fight, the bell rang and the fight commenced.
