Haha. You guys had your spring break early. Mine will begin on Thursday. 3 days before wrestlemania Smile

Got me thinking, because I watched RAW last night and was (surprisingly) vastly entertained. I haven't watched wrestling in years, but I turned it on last night and was like 'wtf, I've been missing out. I have some catching up to do, but I think I'm a fan again.

Anyone else here watch wrestling? Please, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, do NOT mention Wrestling Society X. That's not wrestling. I'm open to debate whether or not that shit can be considered television.

Also, Burter, post your old pic back when you had muscles.

RAW and Smackdown is Wrestling Entertainment. Fake, but still pretty damned funny. McMahon is totally going to get owned at wrestlemania. Bobby Lashley FTW. <3 <3 <3 Mesa love some Bobby Lashley =3

Yeah, he proved so in WrestleMania XIX

The Rock will always remain as my favourite, no matter who comes and goes.

Bah, everyone knows that Hogan is the best of all time. The WWE is the house that Hulk Hogan built.

I haven't been into wrestling since wrestle mania when hulk hogan and all of them first appeared. It just seems a little lame to me now.

Fan? No. I'm what's more commonly known as a freak, and no that's not meant to toot my own horn or brag, if anything some people would probably consider it sad how much of me free time is occupied in some way shape or form by the allure of the squared circled.

From 1997 through now, I've missed maybe around 5 episodes of Raw in total, and since the incarnation of Smackdown I've missed probably less, I used to like TNA then it just got sloppy as hell. I'm a big RoH fan although that's something that I wouldn't suggest to the "casual fan", and my current library of wrestling dvds/videos probably spans well into the into triple digit hours.

I've even considered going to a wrestling school, which are quite plentyfull around the NY area. Although that is a decision which I've still yet to fully decide on or not.

EDIT: BTW, is it true that Burter is(was) Mikey Batts? I saw that guy on TNA a few times, heard he got picked up by ovw(wwe developmental territory) and then kinda left the ring, then one random day I heard Burter show a pic of him I just wasn't sure if it was some type of inside joke I was unaware of or what. I wiki'ed batts and Wiki had a different birthdate then the one Burter had on his profile, so I assumed it was just a joke. Then with the mention of it again in this thread I just needed to ask.

EDIT2: If my awkwardness isn't a thread killer, I don't know what will be Smile

I used to be really big into WCW. The Wolfpack, Hollywood Hulk Hogan, the undefeated Goldberg, and Kevin Nash power bombing the Giant (not the "Big Show" because that's the gayest name ever). That was, like, nine/ten years ago. Hell, I remember having illegal cable so we got all the PPVs for free. A bunch of my friends would come over and commence trash-talking each other about our favorite wrestlers.

I actually went to a PPV that was up in Washington. They even shot a clip of me holding up my Chris Benoit sign. He was (and still is) the biggest badass ever.

And yet he still became the greatest wrestler of all time ;-). He is by far the biggest legend in the buisness. If Hogan hadn't been as huge and as good as he was then their wouldn't have been a Rock or a Austin. At Wrestlemania X8 Hogan proved it. Even though The Rock was the "good guy" the crowd boed him and Hogan kept getting the loudest pops (chears basically) then I have ever heard. Everytime Hogan enters the ring he still to this day steals the spot light, its the reason why Vince wanted to sign him to a 20 year deal!

Most wrestler have to due a huge move or talk for about 20 minutes before they get a huge pop. Hogan just has a show up and put his hand to his ear and the crowd goes crazy.

I guarantee you if The Rock came back in the ring out of nowhere millions of fans would simultaneously cum their drawers.

Rad mentioned Goldberg. I second the motion.

But at the level of when Hogan did? I doubt it. Hulk Hogan is the Babe Ruth of pro wrestling he is a living legend who's name will always be connected with the sport. Even people who don't watch Wrestling know who Hulk Hogan is and think "wrestling" when they hear his name.

Haven't watched wrestling since I was about 13, and I don't intend on watching it again.

Yeah he isn't under contract but he has made an appearance. He was on Raw like on the 12th. I'd be surprised if he actually fought in any long term compactly. He seems to want to become and stay a mainstream actor.

I will always believe that Bret hart was a better wrestler than Hogan.

Better wrestler? No doubt. Better showman? Doubtfull, Hogan could put on a better show. Lots of wrestlers are better actual wrestlers then Hogan, but none where better showmen.
