Goku vs Superman

Superman is even more godmode than Goku. Besides, as Goku doesn't have a ready supply of kryptonite on hand, I doubt he could win.

It's pretty tricky. Pretty much the only person to ever pummel Superman into submission by brute force was Doomsday. It happens a lot, there are characters as strong (if not stronger) than Superman, but rarely does he lose a straight up fight. I don't think Goku is stronger than Superman, but his energy beam shiz could be a problem. Superman is vulnerable to magic... is the Kamehameha/Genki Dama/etc. considered magical? That's a tough one, but even if it isn't magical, it packs enough of a wallop in the brute force department to do some serious damage.

Some other points I'm to lazy to address:

*Is Goku faster than Superman? IT wise, of course. But how long did it take Superman to finish that race around the world (or how long would it have taken... they ran into some problems didn't they?) compared to how long it took Goku to complete Snake Way?

*Would kryptonite exist in the universe they fight in? Would ki exist?

*Does Superman know any martial arts? I never could figure it out.

Good points...I would say ki based attacks are more of the users energy being focused into an attack, rather then magic. Superman would be faster then Goku imo, but with the use of IT, Goku can teleport to another place instantly, while superman has to travel the distance in between. I dont think Superman knows any martial arts, but I dont think it would realy matter. And, I think the man of steel would be able to hold his own against the kamehameha wave, but it would probably wear him down. I mean if you think about it, comparing and contrasting them is kind of rediculous due to the amount of variables, and people knit picking the characters strengths and weaknesses, which pretty much stand for any who would beat who discussion....but its still fun to talk about .

Dragonball Z was made to be on a scale of power that was incomparable to just about anything. Just the sheer magnitude and unrealistic supply of Goku's power dwarfs Superman's in comparison. Frieza could blow up a planet, in his first form. His Final Form was weaker than Goku's super saiyan. So, Goku goes Super Saiyan 3, and I say he could blow up a planet with relative ease.

So he could easily overpower Superman with a ki attack that could destroy a planet. After all, the destruction of their planet killed a NUMBER of Superman's race, all presumably as powerful as he was. Why would a planet-destroying beam not kill him?

Also, on Supes home planet, the red sun kept all his people at human-level strength. Under the yellow sun, he's god. Plain and simple. Hell, from what I hear, he spent time meditating in the center of the sun and came out even more powerful. Since in DBZ people still get killed by going into stars, I think Supes had Goku on sheer indestructability.

Edit: I read the other thread a bit and I have this to say. Hulk > Juggernaut. Juggy has finite strength, even if he is unstoppable. The Hulk has no known limit to how strong he can get. Juggy would beat on him for while, but each blow would only make the Green Machine angrier and stronger.

I got to ask, tho'. Even if Goku would lose a fight with Super Nads, which fictional paragon of justice do you prefer? Me? I'd say Goku. I don't know why, but I prefer glaring orange over staggering blues, reds, and yellows. xP

Supes costume is so much better. If you're gonna be an uber powerful god of justice, might as well look as silly as possible while doing it. That way, when someone makes fun of your spandex and cape, you can destroy him.

Superman's costume is better? It's tights with underwear on the outside, and S on the front and a cape. Goku's outfit is so much cooler, and probably MUCH more comfy.

But that's the thing about it. Superman's costume is ridiculous for a reason. People look at Goku and think, "I could take this guy." When they look at Supes they think, "Spandex? This guy is obviously unstable. I better leave the crazy fucker alone."
