Yeah. PSP has nice graphics and good games. But the funfactor of the DS outshines it by far. I loves my DS.

Good games? Since when?

There's some. Ratchet and Clank, for example. Just not enough to warrant paying that much.

If you are going to get a PSP wait unti lthe new model comes out, it's like sometime next month(at least in the USA) and supposedly is pretty improved from the original.

Plus the new Kingdom Hearts is coming out for PSP. Sespite my DS fanboyism, I need to get myself another(first one broke) PSP just for that game. If you've played the first 2, this game will be 100% worth buying the PSP for.

I already have a DS so its not a one versus the other situation.

Also I was planning on waiting for the 2000 slim or whatever they are calling it. The big draw for me is metal gear, crisis core, and homebrew.

I have solely a PSP. I love the machine. Everything about it is just so awesome. Besides good graphics, the games are great. And homebrew, of course, equals win. I can say I like it better than the DS. While I do not own a DS, I have played one on more than one occasion and felt the PSP was a better choice. Good thing too, considering I got one at launch. Came with two t-shirts. Awesomeness.

If you don't want to buy it for solely two games, as you said, Metal Gear and Crisis Core (Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops is a system seller by itself, one word: awesome. Also, Plus is coming and that's a...plus) there are other worthwhile buys on the system. Platformers are in their prime here. For example, Daxter and Ratchet and Clank.

Ratchet and Clank is the same old Ratchet and Clank, so it's still good. It does have an all-new storyline made slowly for the system and manages to hold onto it's charm. I haven't quite beat it yet, so I won't call it worthwhile yet. So far, it's been a good experience. Also, I think a 'Secret Agent Clank' is being made for the system.

Daxter is different from the series that spawned it, but is a fun game, though short. The precursor orbs was clearly used as a time waster, though. I need to go back and get some come to think of it.

Megaman: Powered Up, strange as it may seem, is a good buy. It has the original Megaman if you're into that and the New Style is pretty cool, considering all the characters. The main draw for me was construction mode. It is a surprisingly free level building experience and makes a good effort to put an end to some cheapness (though, I have found ways to make crazy hard setups in it). The graphic style is pretty nice once you get used to it. And the voice acting, though somewhat cheezy, is much, much better than anything Megaman 8 did. Plus one character is as badass as he should be. I picked this up used, so it should be a cheap buy. Haven't played Maverick Hunter X, so I'm not sure of it.

If you like Dynasty Warriors, there is one on the PSP. Pretty good, if you ask me. I liked the tactics style. I was much more aware of where I was going than the original Dynasty Warriors.

Also, I hear Crush is good. It got a 9/10 on many sites, so I wouldn't doubt it. Never trusted gaming sites much, though. I think Ape Escape: On The Loose came out as a Greatest Hit, though I'm not sure how good it is. Then again, it is catching monkeys.

EDIT: A friend of mine also has SOCOM for the PSP. He says it's good, though sometimes your team is unresponsive. He mostly plays the Hockey game that came with the console.

You have DS, that's all the protable gaming you need for now. Get the HD tv, foo.

Get the HDTV. The TV networks are apparently all going to switch to HDTV anyways, so if you don't have an HDTV, you won't be able to watch anything without an extra "converter box." That's what I've heard at least.

HD is way overrated, imo. The PSP is pretty awesome. There are some great games out there (contrary to popular opinion). You have the UMD option if that's something you're interested in exploring (I have a couple UMD movies, and its kinda neat) and they're also dirt cheap (season 1 of family guy is all of $10).

The PSP really got more bad press than it deserved to get. I'm not saying its perfect, or that none of that bad press is valid, but its definitely not the giant heaping pile of shit most people would make it out to be.

I've never had either of them, so I went to the second best option.

I flipped a coin, and the PSP won. Go with that.

Okay a PSP costs maybe $230, how can you compare that to an HD TV which would easily cost like 400 and up depending on the size. If you have a PS3 or an Xbox 360- sure go for HD, but if not, get yourself a PSP or a freakin' console.
