I've been looking at two PC games to buy in particular, and i'm stuck on which game i want to purchase
Civilizations IV
Guild Wars (One of their three titles)
I'd appreciate opinions on games from anyone who knows anything about them, thanks a bunch.

Orange Box.
As soon as my computer gets back to running, I'm getting it. First thing. That's what the specs of my computer were built for, was HL2 back in the day, and I have been shitting myself in anticipation for quite some time.

Guild Wars!! Seriously no monthly fee is amazing. It's the only MMO I play right now and I'm saving tons of money.

Civ IV along with its expansions is really really good. I never played Guild Wars.

That.
Out of the two you chose, get back to me in a few days. I'm currently downloading Civ 4 on Steam, since I've heard a
lot of good things about it. Guild Wars is fun, but wasn't my thing. That said, you'd have a few instant friends in game if you got it, since quite a few Chubbsians play (or well, they did. I haven't played GW in a long time).

Haven't logged on to my GW account in some time, I've got the core package and nothing else. Anyway yea if you want a good game free mmo then go for Guild Wars.

Civ IV is the best choice. Hell, even Civ III with its expansions would be worth your money.

Don't. Yeah, it's a nice game. Awesome graphics, interesting game play, a decent story, and it's free.
But it's boring as all heck. I mean honestly, unless you like games that are all about PVP, don't get it.

Guild Wars: Nightfall. There's no denying that Civ 4 is great, but it just doesn't have as much to offer as GW does.

I'm honestly more fond of the way they depicted the leaders.
Eh, Civ4 is alright in the sense that it was cool that they added those little bits like showing what you build in a city but if that be my flavor I would've stuck with Empire Earth.

Civ 4 can give you a serious headache if you have windows vista. I'm still trying to get Civ 4 to work.

I love Civ III. So Civ IV would be my vote.

Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion for the hands down winner.
But, out of the two you said. Haven't played GW, but Civ 4 is very very nice.
