Crazy...it's just so crazy. Peter's mom...blows hardcore. And what the fuck is up with this, Sylar is Peter's brother now?

I don't think that is what she means. I think she means something more figurative.
And yes, Cristine Rose is perhaps one of the most amazing actresses ever.

Sylar is Ms. Petrelli's illegitimate son i'd presumre, making him half brother to Peter and Nathan. Also Niki back as Tracy with new power? Odd, but obviously ice is what saved her from the fire - but does it link back to the serum to give abilities somehow? I think Peter will come through in the end, but he is trying to be too much of a hero.
Sylar is going to end up being a conflicted character, and might not be the biggest baddie in this volume.

Psh... Heroes has had too many illegitimate children already. I still stand by that she meant something more figurative.
I completely agree about Sylar being an illegitamate character, and may I say I am extremely more satisfied with the writing this time around... some of these lines are just amazing.
"You're going to live forever, Claire. And now, I guess... so am I."

I don't know, i wouldn't be surprised to find out that Peter and Sylar's versions of these abilities - namely claire's - are not as powerful as their inherited owner. As Suresh said, it's all about the blood chemistry. Also why is Claire special? In Season 2 that lady who knew about the virus said if you shoot peter or adam in the head they would be dead forever. I'm assuming it's because you'd stop the brain from working and the abilities generate in the brain. If so, then wouldn't removing and killing claire's brain stop it from working?

Something that a group of my friends came to, and simultaneously another group of friends actually texted me, is that each of Nikki's personalities have a different power.
Also, Angella meant that literally. Sylar is adopted and Angella is the mother. He asked her specifically about what she meant.
It really doesn't "not" make sense.
Angella's power, I had already guessed it a long time ago. Additionally, I had already guessed Peter was the shooter; his future version was becoming a bit of a dick there and would walk out on people and turn his back, was more brutal through S2.
Oh, and the funny text that got forwarded around through my coworkers at one point "Mohinder horny spiderman"
So basically Sylar gains someone's power by studying their brain and using his "reasoning" ability to understand which part of their brain ripples is their power. Then through learning it, his mind unlocks it within just by "evolving" internally through the understanding. Everyone else died due to him either removing the brain while studying it, or just them dying of blood loss.
Apparently Claire suffered nerve damage that her body didn't repair though. Or its just a natural evolution of her ability, similar to the aging thing and Matt's furthering of his own abilities. Perhaps Peter's shapeshifting is an evolution of regeneration as well. But my theory on the Claire thing is that since its based around adrenalyne and the body being heightened in senses, either she had a hormone get leaked and lost or something while being scanned, or its due to her now extreme apathy and depression that she's suffering from the ordeal. Being so depressed, she's suppressing part of her own ability through simply not conciously caring.
I obviously can not wait for episode three. I'm off every Monday now.

One more thing, how the fuck did Future Peter gain the ability to put people in other bodies? And those villians are just so...evil. The pyro guy I was like 'Ahh man why you gotta burn de lady?' and it kind of made me sad until he winked and I was like 'You're pretty bad ass...I like you.' and The German muhahahaha he's just bound to be killed off soon. I can't help but think 'Nazi Magneto' when I think of 'The German' power: Magnetism *shakes his head* but eh.

Incorrect. Candace never came into contact with Peter before she died. You fail.

Additionally, Candace was the power of illusion, not exactly Shapeshifting. However, the result could end up the same, but Peter just turned into a younger version of himself. That's why I think it is possibly a furthering of Claire's ability.

What the heck does shapeshifting have to do with regeneration?

You realize that aging is a deterioration of cells, right?
Theoretically, if he had total control over his regenerative capabilities, he could 'age' and 'de-age' them at will... Which seems to be what he's doing.
But we already know there are duplicates of powers out there. Just because Candy is dead doesn't mean Mirai Peter couldn't have picked it up somewhere else. We already know Sylar had it in the future, perhaps Peter picked it up from him.
Also, I'm kind of surprised that everyone online was shocked about Sylar not killing Claire. Sylar doesn't kill because he likes killing, he kills because it's a necessity of his twisted version of "evolution." You kind of saw that he's not a complete sociopath in season 1 when he freaked out about the possibility that he could destroy New York and all the "innocent" people. If there's no specific reason to kill someone, he doesn't have to.
My prediction is that Sylar will be employed by the Company to go out and find these 12 escaped convicts and bring them back - dead or alive. Probably dead, because part of the bargain will be that Sylar gets to have-at their brains when he catches them.
Edit: PLEASE keep in mind that I haven't seen the previews for next episode yet. So. I could be way, way off.

In Season 2 (I believe it was 2), Sylar basically turned semi-good guy for a while there. He visited his mom and was questioning his entire purpose and all, but then his mom totally went psycho on him when he showed her his powers and basically shunned him and pushed him over the edge.
But no, I wasn't surprised. Sylar is, in every way, simply a "goal oriented villian". He does exactly what he needs to accomplish his goal, in the most logical and thought out way, and in typical fashion (like the color blue in magic) he'll put aside things like morality for the sake of further knowledge and goal accomplishment. Its not necessarily an emotional thing for him to remove something interfering with his plan. I love the character and its how I've written Reijin in the past.
By the way:

This is exactly what I was trying to say regarding Peter using Claire's ability as a "further evolution" of it, which we learned can happen by things like Matt's father and Adam Monroe. That's what I believe he's doing. Peter could easily regen away his scar, and he chooses not to. He obviously has control over his regeneration abilities at that point. I believe he even said to someone that he leaves it as a reminder of something, so that just furthers my theory.

I wish i could have been there to tell Mohinder that taking that stuff was a badddd idea. Now he is turning into the Fly. At least he got some Maya first.
But yeah that was a kick ass start to what should be an awesome season.

I might have considered watching this series from the beginning, had all of your talk not confused the shit out of me and turned me off to the idea.
Greg0rz (3:16:14 PM): if you cut Michael Moore, he would bleed cheese and bacon grease?
UltimoDemon (3:16:26 PM): I think that is very likely, yes.
Greg0rz (3:16:34 PM): *scribbles down*
Greg0rz (3:16:45 PM): do you mind if I quote you?
UltimoDemon (3:16:49 PM): Not at all.
