I like the render/swirl/leaf thing

I don't like the text or the anime character.

If the character fit into the background better, or the background simply consisted of rendered/photo shopped material it would flow better, but that's probably not what you were shooting for.

I think the text is fine; the effect is nice with the colours going good together. The only thing that bugs me is the cut job on the girl, maybe use the feather tool when you cut the image.
