It's been over a year since the last one began. I'm just curious if staff is planning to do this again any time soon.
Edit: And fix my custom title. Yeah, that means you HF17.

For future reference, if you were meaning chicken, the spanish word for it is pollo.

I am not fluent in spanish, so I wouldn't attempt it.

You could at least make it clear what spanish word you were trying to say.

How interested would people be in this?
In my own opinion, I don't think we've found a really solid way to run the event yet.

How's that?
Does it really need to be much different than last year?

No, not really. I am just of the opinion that we have yet to run it in a way that is as efficient as I know we can be.

I saw the first one, and it looked pretty cool.
I'd do it if it came up.

Understandable. I mean, the last one took, what, three months?
Still, I think efficiency at it's current state shouldn't prevent the occurrence of another one. Everyone enjoyed it, I think.

That would just be more reaosn to start working out the kinks earlier.

I know how to host a game/saga like this correctly, and I'll tell you, Rad, when we meet on IM.
A few kinks on it gotta be worked out to convert it from a mini-game into a saga

Quick lesson: El (masculine article; means 'the') Chiquito (Compound of Chico; meaning 'boy' and the suffix 'ito' measculine suffix for 'small') Thank you, Ms. Vice. (2 years of spanish, and they say I don't pay attention...peh. )

I agree. I'm not saying we shouldn't have one, nor am I saying we shouldn't start planning. I'm simply expressing my concern over the last DA that we ran.
EDIT: Personally, though, I've had enough psuedo-PVP for the time being. =/

If you don't mind me asking, what was wrong with how DA '04 went? I know I was really knew then and probably wasn't really sure how much anything worked here then at that time, but from my view, that thing ran extremely smoothly and well. Only near the end did things appear to get a little bit choppy, but otherwise I thought that how you did it that year was a good job.

Well, one problem was that it was 3 months long. If every saga lasted that long, that comes down to 4 sagas a year.
With a staff of 11, you can assume that most of the staff is going to have staff saga ideas of their own. That means a staffer waiting over a year simply to run his idea.
Also, a few other issues occurred, such as the main arena not really being used to it's full ability.
Edit: Another issue with the saga length is that a person can miss a join deadline for a saga, and he/she has to wait an additional three months just to participate in another staff saga, and that's only if another saga starts right at the end of the previous one.

I would be, as long as its planned in late 2006. Not right now. I have a few things to do, you see. But as long as its around then, I'd join in a heartbeat.

I'm always interested. I've been thinking about it a lot, but I felt that it was too soon (with all the current plans that are going to be in motion) to do it, and I also figured with FoF having just gone through that people would be wanting some free interaction time (b/c when there's a staff saga, its almost like being penalized if you don't join it, since you miss out on some of the rewards.)
I will definately help host it though, as I loved it extremely last year.
By the way, that wasn't the first one -_-
A new one would be the fourth one.
