Friend or Foe RPG!

Characters Currently taken(for an example of the wide range to choose from):

Cole Turner (Charmed)
Dante (Devil May Cry)

Characters open: If they?re from an Anime, tv show, video game, then you there you go. Staff has final say, but we are pretty good at letting you have what you want.

Rules: Basically, think Chubbs and there you go. Same stuff applies there.

Joining: Same thing. Think Chubbs, go to the board and post your joining application.

Training: Talking to VJ about that, once he gets the training program up and running, it?ll be similar to Chubbs, however, it?s not Chubbs, so there will be differences.

Now, to the good stuff.

We at Friend or Foe understand that if say, Dende were to fight the Hulk then Dende would get royally rocked, same goes for the RPG, only we level it out a little. Everyone will begin with a the exact same energy level and stats will be placed the same way throughout the roster.

Examples:

DBZ Characters: Ki control
X-men Characters: Start with 1 mutant power(users choice when beginning).
Spiderman: Telepathy(level 1)
Superman: Flight
Batman: Extra GIL(money) and Luck.
These are just some of the characteristics, yours will be determined as soon as you join.


Yes, no zeni, no cash, we are going Final Fantasy style with the money, we use GIL. Also, you can see that Superman starts off with flight. In this RPG you must EARN the ability to fly, sounds hard huh? Not really.

There are schools to learn:
fighting(advanced fighting of course cause everyone can fight).
Alchemy

So, you?re thinking, I just can?t see Spiderman as being someone that would fly around, that?s were your creativity will come into play. Give him a suit or something that gives him that ability, your character is almost completely custom. A few rules, sure, but for the most part, it?s all yours.

Cybernetics Upgrades

~CPU Upgrade - 7,500 GIL
- Can only be used by Androids or with Cybernetics. A boost of x10.

~Mega Upgrade - 7,000 GIL
- Can only be used by Androids.
- A boost of x25

~Giga Upgrade - 15,000 GIL
Can only be used by Androids, must have Mega Upgrade first.
- Boost of x40.


So, we know about characters, techniques, and items, where can we go?


Well, we are trying to span across the entire Anime Universe, so we have:

Earth, Vegeta - DBZ
Astral Plane, Asteroid M - X-men
Demon World - Yu Yu Hakishou(new place to go when you die)
Mostafar - Yeah yeah, not anime, but this is where Anikan became Darth Vader, can?t help but love it.

I'm Samus Aran on there. It's pretty damn cool, and it's growing. It might not seem active because we have less members, but that's why we're recruiting

As with most big saga's, the sign up stage drags a bit, and were currently in one of those stages. We have amazing writers, and once the saga gets rolling, they'll be a crap ton of activity, that's already been proven in the first tournament that we did to start things off.

Oh yeah, and you all should seriously check this place out. I've been on there for almost as long as the site's been around, and I love it so far. Can't really say much more than what's been said, but I'd love to see some of you all try it out. You'll probably like it. =)

I liked the old layout, personally for the boards, personally. If I didn't already have other RPGs and forums I frequented, I'd probably try your place. It does look good, though.

Yeah, FoF rocks hard. You can be whoever you want pretty much, and still have an awesome RPing atmosphere. It's the only place where you'll see someone from X-Men fight a Pokemon...

But yea...my opinion is a bit biased since I'm staff there, but I enjoy the rpg a lot. The atmosphere, the great writers we have there...it's a fun place to be. It should also be noted that we are constantly expanding, and new things are constantly being incorporated and released.

I had question about a character. I was planning on joining as Danny Phantom. and I figured that be okay since he's a super hero, and not some comic relief cartoon like Sponge Bob or Timmy Turner or a Pokemon. I mean yeah sure theres comedy, but its mixed in with action. Anyway my question is if I were to join as Danny Phantom would he have flight? I mean I understand your suppose to earn that right, but Danny Phantom without flight is like Aang without air bending, its like a second nature. Is there anyway I can have flight? I can make sacrifices if I have to, or you could take it away I guess, but poor Danny would be less formidable, I mean the kid doesnt have friggen super strength or is a martial artist or an expert in weapons, hes just basically a teenage kid who is struggiling with his abilities, or atleast thats how I want to roleplay him as.
