Your writing is exactly as I remember it, and you haven't lost a step in your stride.
I can see some definite thought behind your set up, and I like how you're going to combine Spiritken training with something else, because a good plot has multiple components to it. It gives the readers different information to process, and you can build each little addition up and tie it together in a firecracker ending.
There's not really much for me to go off of right now, so punch out a little more material first.
