...for travel to be coded into the Training Page?
You could have two boxes clumped up near the character's alliance info, sensei/kouhai, and other drop-down items: a Planet dropdown menu and a Transport dropdown menu, with a final button to click (maybe something like 'Go!', or 'Engage!') to put the order through.
ex., if I wanted to go to Vegeta by shuttle, I would select Vegeta from the first box, "Shuttle" from the second one (because I'm too cheap to shell out for a teleport), and click "Engage!". The program would automatically deduct the required zeni from my pool and change my location to "In Transit", and also automatically change it to Vegeta-sei at the end of the required days.
Could that be done?

It could, but it's entirely at VJ's discretion, and he probably won't be too keen on scripting something we don't particularly need. I know I would be.
Really, it's up to him. I don't think any staffer out there would contest it, but then, I doubt any of them would push for the idea either. Of course, this is just my guess, as I wouldn't want to put words in their mouths.

In order to do that, we'd have to get the entire shop automated.
Trust me there, I've begged and begged, but the bottom line is that he simply doesn't feel that the end result on that is worth the massive amount of work he'd have to accomplish for it.

You haven't begged about that lately Reij
This thing reminds me of a different idea I had a while back. I have to think about it, and more importantly I will need to find enough time to work on something not really necessary. <3

I guess you are talking about that luck thing I was talking to you about.
And yeah, I haven't begged about that lately. I've been preoccupied and I figure you are busy enough I was happy enough to get that other thing I'd begged for XD

You say that, but everytime I try and give Luck a cool ability, everyone goes "NOOO, that makes no sense in Luck! Luck is stupid and I don't want you to give me a reason to train it!"

Now you mention luck, you know I had an awesome idea for a replacement for that, which only needed some tweaks. >.>
I was actually referring to space exploration
Super Buu - I had to go back to my PMs and read your suggestion. It was marked as read so I forgot about it. But yeah, its a good idea to add in a small check for the MIA script so people who only roleplay a couple of lines won't count. Have to work out how simple its to implement though.

While your at it, you could also have something so that posts with 300 words or less, can't un MIA or give a post count. ^_^ Two birds with fourteen gun shots.
That was exactly my idea. Firstly, it stops people bitching about staff using OCBs as an excuse to get training points, and secondly it allows people to do short posts if they want to - just it won't count towards training, and staff don't have to reprimand them.

That sucks for staffers.

Wait... I thought staff could loose their MIA stamp as long as they did staff duties and stuff.
Or did I assume to much when Burter told Reijin to hurry and grade a spar or sometihng so he didnt go MIA or get the boot?

*shrug* I'd still be for it. Even if I was staff. It just makes things fair, ken?

So when we have just enough time to either do Staff duties or roleplay, we should roleplay and let the other work fall to shit?

Real life could pull his from Chubbs for ten out of fourteen of those days. The remaining days, we begin the workings for a new, massive post, and in the meantime, do tons of Staff work.
Hypothetical situation. I usually get at least one post up every week.

Yeah. I've actually been considering withdrawing from college society and not studying so that I can devote more time to Chubbs. Who needs to get married when you can have a four-digit Post Count?
As soon as one of these lottery tickets hits off, I'll be set.

For the good stuff. Like sagas and the occasional quest with people. Some times, you just gotta keep yourself active so when things like DA or an alliance quest show up, you can have some real fun

People like Krillin and Reijin don't really go for minimums and shit. They put thought, effort, work, and time into their posts. They don't create lousy, two paragraph minimum requirement posts. And they're staff. Those updates people ask for, staff have to read and check what is being written. Others, like Reijin, do other things, like creating the new Info Vault. And does it really matter if he writes once every week or two weeks? It's his character.
Yeesh do you put up an agument for everything?
Also, I dunno if my question was answered. Wouldn't some minuimum requirement to write a 300 word post IC get the MIA/Deactivation Program put staff in MIA/Deactivation if they just managed to get staff work done during the time if it was created? And wouldn't that be unfair to them? And shouldn't it be more up to the staffers that do the MIA thing if they want it replaced?
Seems like a nice waxed boot to the staffers ass for putting their time into the site and keep it running.
And when did post counts start to matter?
