I need some help with my laptop. Bare with me here, I don't know much about computers and all that, hopefully you'll understand what is going on.
So, I was looking through the members and went to give TAFKA Cell a rating. When I went to open the rating bit, suddenly a thingy popped up saying Microsoft runtime error and it closed the browser thingy =/ whatever it's called.....
Now, everytime I go to open another internet explorer the same Microsoft Visual C runtime error pops up and closes the program. I'll type what it says.
Microssoft Visual C++Runtime Libary
Program: C:\Program Files\ Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.
I have absolutely know idea what's happened or how to solve it, and when the rest of the family find out I crapped up the laptop they'll be pissed so I hope to God someone here knows the problem and a solution. Please help.

'Jeez Sazuaa, that's quite a conundrum. But I might be your man.
Ok, clear browser cookies. Don't ask me how, it's on the toolbar somewhere (For I.E.) because I haven't used it in awhile. If that doesn't work...
DOWNLOAD FIREFOX. It's faster than IE, and probably your last fling at a chance of hope. I dunno what your problem is, and I've never encountered it before.

To me, the thread is less about criticizing/defending Avatar and more about wondering how stoned Jack was when he saw the movie/made the thread.

clearing cookies via IE.
on the toolbar
1 - click tools
2 - click internet options
3 - in internet options, select the general tab.
4 - look under temporary internet files, and click delete cookies.
if that doesn't help.... i dunno what will.

Oh crap, this is worse than I thought. I did what you said but it still didn't work. Any links on the site also get closed.....=/
The best thing I can think of is to shut down and start it up, but I'm afraid if I do that I won't be able to come on the internet at all. It's only the pages that were already open that are still working.
I just remebered one of the things I did earlier, I deleted all offline content of caches, could that have something to do with it?

I looked it up and apparently I had to remove google toolbar, fortunately Mcafee virusscan popped up and deleted the thing that was causing the trouble so all is good again in the world. *wipes sweat from forehead*
Well anyway thanks Celipa and Nappa for trying to help.

You have removed IE from you computer, thats all, the browser you're using I assume was a IPS provider like Yahoo? If it is, they use a IE as there back up files, so if you don't have it installed you will get bugs like that, just download IE 7.0 and everything should be fine. If not, reinstall the IPS browser you're using.
I gaurentee its more than the google tool bar thing. /Comp Nerd
