I think he means who was he in the show. I was wondering the same thing, he was probable just some random Namek in the Frieza saga who was in the show for like 10 seconds.

I believe it all started a long time ago when a guy wanted to be one of the Namekian's that guarded Namek against Zarbon and Dodoria. Beyond that, there is no such thing as a "Retane".

His name exists but isn't mentioned in the Funimation version, to my knowledge.

I remember the guy who originally presented the character to staff on here used to have a picture of him. I recall their were three namek-sei-jin's in that scene. One was hefty while the other two were slim, he was one of the slim guys.
I used the picture on DBZA when I was Retane, but yeah, I've lost the picture unfortunately. But basically what they said, his name was only mentioned in the japanese version. He was one of the three namek-sei-jin's that approached Nail right before Nail fought Freiza. Freiza made short work of them, so they were shown for a total of 2 minutes. =/ |
