I've had a few similar issues with Dragon Age and getting saved right before I get into inescapable ass-kicking. Even with auto-save, still gotta remember to do it the old-fashioned way

I had an Oblivion character with 90 hours on it.

The save file is corrupted.

I was pretty not amused. Couldn't ever bring myself to play the game again. I'm just glad I did everything besides KotN before that happened. Like Greg, I now always have a backup save. I alternate saving between two files (or three, sometimes).

So I decided to start a new game, like a lot of people. I also decided to give Biotics another go. Mostly.

My first game was as an Infiltrator, and I think the tech mines are absolutely amazing. Being able to drop weapons or shields is almost as broken as Singularity. Being able to decrypt and get the massive bonus to shields on my main character was also a huge plus.

So I decided to go with Sentinel, which combines Biotics and Tech. They only get access to Light Armor (not really a problem, though, since they get both Electronics and Barrier) and Pistols. I had totally forgotten, though, that I had Assault Rifles unlocked from my Soldier game. So now I have Biotics, Tech, and access to the best weapon type.

I think it'll be a fun play-through.

I'll consider grabbing this if I can wear massive armor and have big weapons. Regardless it seems intriguing. The fact it's a Bioware title should be enough, but I'm picky and lazy.

Soldier class is pretty lawltastic. Their Immunity skill does not just have a clever name.

For my first attempt where my file fucked up, I played Adept and somewhat enjoyed it, but I had a hard time early game due to the cooldowns being so long early game. This time I'm playing Infiltrator and having a blast with max Charm, max Pistols, and max Electronics. I pretty much use the pistol always because even from a distance, pop Marksmanship and fire away. I do have Sniper Rifles though, just don't use it as often as you would think since you get forced into close range a lot.

Liara tends to just WRECK SHIT with biotics though.

Grabbing the Assassination skill is totally worth 1 point, even if you rarely use Sniper Rifles. What they don't tell you is that while the skill is active, your scope has no drift. Pop Assassination, open with a head shot, then drops some prox mines and switch to pistol as people close in.

Just a heads up, most of Williams' "correct" responses are fairly Renegade. I don't remember if whether or not it matters, but she's not big on the "good guy" responses.

I have this knack for picking out the correct answers. If you get something wrong they usually give you a way to correct yourself. I saved then talked to her after the "I CHOOSE YOU ASHLEY" meeting with Liara and uh...I said her Grandfather was a loser (to put it bluntly).

Many facepalms were had.

What's funny is how the alien is totally for a three way relationship but Ashley won't have anything to do with it, almost entirely just because Liara isn't human. I'm going to definitely do another playthrough going Paragon and picking Ashley though.

I have this for the 360, never finished it. A neighbor down the hall borrowed it and it has since disappeared. I am currently acquiring it for the PC. I think that my main was all soldier, but may try something new.

Kaden, since you know me the best, what should I play?
