Kami finished laughing to himself and moved towards the open door before him. The other two came inside as well, Reijin nursing the side of his face he was smacked in, while Uub put down his small arsenel and took a seat. Kami set down the aquired weaponry he was carrying as well, none of it nearly as fun as the weapon on the back of the buggy.
Akira said something to Reijin and then made her way over to Kami. "Good to see you again." she said, smiling. Kami scratched his head and let out a big sigh.
"Yeah, and for once you aren't trying to kill me. What did your sister do to get you back?" The old Namekian took a seat, there was a nice chair nearby and Akira joined him for the moment.
"Brim had me on a leash, but Katel was able to break me free. Details only bogg it down and make it more complicated than it needs to be." She looked back to her sister, and then back to Kami. It was obvious she wasn't giving him the whole story, but given the circumstances he wasn't going to push the issue at all.
"I'd suggest we spar a little, but I'm not really in the mood at the moment." Kami said while he leaned back in the chair. He knows he needs the practice, but could use a minute to rest and gather his thoughts once again.
"Agreed. I think you'll be suprised as to how much stronger I've become." She smiled again, confidient in her words.
Kami looked up at her, "Oh yeah? Me too."
Akria got up from her seat, "If you'll excuse me." She wandered off to go talk to Reijin. It seemed she had something to tell him besides 'Move faster next time.'
The elderly man who was also in the watchtower came over towards Kami. He too took a seat and pulled at his long beard. "You've certainly been quite busy haven't you?" his voice was raspy but steady.
"Indeed I have," he sat up to get a better look at the man. "My name is Kami." The Namekian stretched out his hand in a gesture of friendship. The old man took it and grasped it firmly.
"They call me the Watchman." As they settled back into their respective seats he spoke once again. "I see everything from here, it is my gift and my curse. This whole game, tournament, show, whatever you want to call it, I've seen everything that has happened." Kami was intriuged by the man's words and listened on intently. "I know that you are here to fight Brim, which as you know is no easy task. Many have already fallen for the cause." Burter flashed across Kami's mind, although his face remained emotionless. The others who had "died" were brought to mind as well, but he knew they were simply away from this place. Burter was someplace where no one yet knew how to reach him. Maybe when he had the time Kami would try and communicate with Burter, he wasn't sure how though.
Uub came over to where the Namekian and the Watchman were chatting. He sat down and entered the conversation. "Oh, this is Uub. Uub, this is the Watchman."
Kami excused himself and got up out of the chair. Reijin was talking to Akira who was playing with a small fireball in her hand. He seemed hesitant about being near her, granted, she was trying to kill everyone a while ago. "Hey!" he looked over, "You should get some rest." Reijin didn't like being told what to do, but the Namekian had a point.
"Why don't you get some sleep?" Kami laughed.
"Namek. Remember?" he was lying though, he could use a good rest, some time to meditate and collect himself. Instead he was making way towards Katel who was looking out a window. She looked over her shoulder to see Kami coming her way. The way the light caught her hair as it shifted was a delightful sight for the old Namekian's eyes. "So what do we do now?"
Katel let out a sigh. "We need to stop Brim. We must prepare for battle." She looked behind her. "My sister and I are ready to do what is nesescary, we hope that you three are ready as well." Kami rested a sturdy hand on her shoulder. She felt so fragile, but he knew what kind of power she possesed within her.
"I know, and I am. We need to rest for the moment. We've been on the move since we showed up in this place. Then we can get to work...maybe even tighten up your fighting technique." She turned her head to look at him, almost to say something, "You had a few open spots and power leaks when you were fighting your sister earlier. We do a little work later and you'll be tight next time you run into trouble." She smiled.
"Thanks." Kami finally took his hand off her shoulder and placed both arms behind his back, clasping his hands together.
"For now we wait...not for long though."
Akira said something to Reijin and then made her way over to Kami. "Good to see you again." she said, smiling. Kami scratched his head and let out a big sigh.
