I take that as meaning "mountainwalk" is most effective with a mountain. I put one I got from a booster pack in my deck, along with a couple of spells that required one mountain to summon, and voila - a white deck with a bit of red on the side.

Totals out at 51, after adding that mountain, Goblin War Paint, Shatter, Inferno Trap, and Seismic Shudder, all which add to my defend/clear opponent's field scheme.

Mountainwalk (or any other landwalk) works when your opponent has a land of that type. You don't need to have any mountains for it to do anything, it only matters if whoever you are attacking has a mountain in play.

Actually, Juno, the last deck I posted is based off of the Kor Armory Intro pack. It's basically designed around equipment and Armament Masters. I've been really busy, so I haven't been able to test it in its most recent form, but it's been fairly good.

FYI, Armament Masters are 0.75 each on Coolstuffinc.com if you wanted to add more to your deck.

Ashe Wrote:Landwalk = "This creature is unblockable as long as the defending player controls a land of this type."

That part is the important part. Whoever the land walking creature is attacking must control a land of that type to make it unblockable. Like if I had an Island in play, and you have an Islandwalker, that thing is going to keep trouncing my ass and there isn't much I can do about it. If I didn't, I lost LOL it up as I block it.

What's a good website to read up on how to play? I literally have no idea but I've always been interested in learning.

Probably. Google pulled up a handful of other sites that sounded like they might be helpful.

So apparently I have a box of countless cards in my closet. All look to be in good condition...

Not really, since they could be grabs from anything really. Was just wondering how long ago you played.

Oh jeez. I never played. I was merely "in training."

At least 5 or 6 years ago.

Scanned some random cards. Image is massive because of the high DPI setting. Should be able to make out the copyright dates if you so choose.

Enjoy!

Looks like mostly Fallen Empires, Ice Age, and Chronicles stuff, though some Urza's Saga in there as well. You might actually have some things of value in there there at the moment if that's the case, as Legacy is becoming really popular as a format. Some of those were from Revised (3rd Edition) so you were definitely acquiring these a lot longer than 5/6 years ago. Those are at least 10-12 years old.

EDIT: When I say you may or may not have some things of value, keep in mind I'm not referring to the cards you specifically scanned. Those are all junk commons and uncommons, and might just be a bad pool to judge from.

I can certainly go through them, but I wouldn't know a rare if I had it. I also said 5 or 6 years...for some odd reason. I thought back to my age being 11 or 12 and forgot that was almost 10 or 11 years ago.

EDIT: would you be able to give me a name to look for?

Well, taking a guess from the time line you are in... Gaea's Cradle (land), Serra's Sanctum (land), Tolarian Academy (land), Yawgmoth's Will (black sorcery), Moat (enchantment), Survival of the Fittest (enchantment), Lion's Eye Diamond (artifact), Mox Diamond (artifact, not to be confused with the five original Moxes), Goblin Lackey (uncommon red creature), Wasteland (uncommon land), Smokestack (artifact)...

Those are just a few off the top of my head.
