I played a mixture of biotic and some srot of weapons (I could spec shotgun but not much else) and I found it easier to just run out and shoot with the shotty.

I actually found the biotics broken good.
My team was a Vanguard, Liara, and Wrex. Between the three of us, we could essentially turn every single opponent into a target and just wreck them. Completely untouchable. ![]()

While I found running and gunning to work nearly as well as Biotics on normal difficulty, mainly because you could run up to people and practically melee them to death before you were in any real danger of dying, once you got to higher difficulties... Yeah.
No contest. @Kaden: Sorry, bro! ![]()
I am becoming increasingly worried by whether or not Ashley/Kaiden are in ME2 and if they are, whether or not they are in a main character role. My problem is that my character, the main one I intend on bringing into ME2, had a romance with Kaiden and I dunno if we can continue it.
As of now, Tali is the only returning PC aside from Shepard. Garrus appears in a side-quest role. No one else has been confirmed though I expect Liara probably appears in a side quest too. Wrex is iffy given his storyline in 1. EDIT: Also, the producer of Bioware spoiled the first hour or so in an interview on Gamespot. The storyline sounds pretty sweet, though it changes a lot.

What if the alien isn't a playable character, either? You're just gonna fuck some other alien? Is that it? You're a whore for aliens, now?

They said the romances will be continuable from 1, I reckon the old characters will probably feature as major NPCs if they don't join the party.

360 Exclusive, right?
EDIT: I'm including the lack of PC version when I say that, given that L4D and stuff that are "exclusive" still have PC versions.

Yep, 360 is the only console it'll be on. The first one came out on PC as well but it was a bit later, probably will be the same deal here.

I see there is a PC version, but I just checked Walmart.com (because I have this random 25$ gift card only usable there) and they don't have it, so (even though I intended to get from brick and mortar anyway, this means they are unlikely to have it) I'll have to go store hopping to the four or five in the area, maybe more.

It's a good game to play anyway, so I'd highly recommend it. You'll appreciate the second more first if you do.

Righto, I should have it within a week or so
For the record though, Collector's Edition fail. I totally buy those generally, but I don't care about content outside the game. I'd never watch that dvd

The romance is basically snappy replies and at the very end of the game a nice picture of an ass that unless you picked the alien might as well be the main character's if I remember correctly.

MOTHER FUCKER.
Ok, so here I am on Novaria right? I go do that quest where you get this guy's data from his room and then the guard's of the planet come start shit, lead by that bitch Kaira Stirling. We fight, I kill everyone... except when I run down the stairs (the game immediately autosaves me right at the stairs too for some reason), a regular guard appears on my map, comes around the corner, and from full life just one hit kills me. I didn't even have the chance to throw out a Singularity or anything. Just pops out from behind the wall, takes one shot, I just immediately die. I'm like "ok, bullshit, but whatever". Reload game. Go to last save, which is the Auto Save at the top of the stairs the second before it happens. Step off the stairs and look for him and he's now toggled neutral again, just chilling in the middle of the room doing nothing. I have tried to 'nade him, tried to Singularity him, anything, but I can't actually attack him or damage him due to him being neutral. Won't let me leave through the elevator, however, since a guard is alive. Thus I get the "Authorization locked by Kaira Stirling" comment despite there being NOTHING killable aside from this bugged guard. Can't load my file given the way it saved. So... I'm thinking... I have to fucking start over. Right when I was getting interested in my character build and story.

I've never had that happen before. That's pretty strange.
