The Recommend A Movie Thread - Kaden - 11-23-2009 Metal Teemer Wrote:The problem with Avatar is that I have no fucking clue what it's about. The blue alien thing, sure, but what's the point of the movie? In the movie, humans are attacking a planet where the blue alien things live -- they have generic-rare-resource-humans-must-have. An "Avatar" is a fake blue alien thing that some humans remotely control by, like, magic-ing their consciousness into it. One of the humans ends up being all "wtf they roxor teh big ONE111" and, like, helps them fight the humans. Or something. The humans have, like, guns and spaceships and lasers while the blue people are riding around on dinosaurs. There was a "sneak peek" commercial thingy during... House, I think? At the absolute least, the movie looks absolutely gorgeous. The Recommend A Movie Thread - Ashe - 11-23-2009 I think most of my unease comes from the fact that, to me, the aliens look like the type of CGI you'd expect in a kids film than an adult one. I'm not sure why, it just has that Disney XD look going on. That doesn't mean it'll be bad or that I think it will be, just that I haven't developed a good opinion yet. The Recommend A Movie Thread - Psyren - 11-25-2009 Everyone needs to watch The orignal 1989dragonball movie then watch th enew crappy one. Youll understand why 1989 rocks so hard. LOL MONKEY BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And yes Avatar is gonan be amazing and gorgeous but Im looking more towards PRince of Persia and Ninja Assassain. The Recommend A Movie Thread - Jack - 11-25-2009 Watched Total Recall for the first time in like 5 years last night. I looked away at 1) The fat lady and the head 2) ...ok, I watched everything else, but I like doing this bullet point thing Really weird shit. I didn't know it was based on a Philip K. Dick novel (my favorite author ever). Really stupid, honestly, so scientifically wrong it hurt. I watched it on JTV and the stream was terrible and choppy, but the chat was awesome. This is definitely one of those movies you watch with a huge group of people and just rag on. TRIVIA: Guess what Ahnuld was doing when he said the following quote: "SCREWWWW YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU" The Recommend A Movie Thread - Saz - 11-28-2009 I'm watching The Ballad of Jack and Rose right now. It's pretty good so far. Not a very big movie, but it's got some decent actors in it (Daniel Day-Lewis), and it's got a quite interesting story. The Recommend A Movie Thread - Jack - 11-28-2009 boooooooooooooooooooooooooorinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng The Recommend A Movie Thread - Saz - 11-28-2009 That was necessary. The Recommend A Movie Thread - Jack - 11-28-2009 It wasn't. There haven't been enough posts today, just trying to contribute. The Recommend A Movie Thread - Saz - 11-30-2009 Saz Wrote:Has anyone seen the sci-fi film, Sunshine? Is it worth watching? I HAVE!!! And yes, it was gud. I was surprised to see it in a top ten biggest movie bombs list, (apparently it had a $40 million budget and only recouped $1.something million in ticket sales). A lot of critics said the final third really let the film down, personally I felt the film kept a consistant quality throughout, but what do I know. The Recommend A Movie Thread - Waffuru - 11-30-2009 For the upcoming holiday season, I have to suggest Jingle All the Way. The Recommend A Movie Thread - Ashe - 11-30-2009 I thought Sunshine was good. The Recommend A Movie Thread - Kole T. The Recommend A Movie Thread - Saz - 11-30-2009 Here's Quentin Tarantinos thoughts on Sunshine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAMYudPgQKc He did a couple of those short clips of him discussing some of his favourite films for Sky's 'Quentin Taratino week'. I found them pretty interesting. The Recommend A Movie Thread - Psyren - 11-30-2009 Ninja assasain wasent that gret. IT had alot of cheesy effects and such. The gorce and ninja killing was the only good part... The Recommend A Movie Thread - Kole T. Merr - 12-05-2009 Saw Planet 51 today. Not bad. Kid-friendly so if you know some children you'd like to take to a dark room for a couple hours, they would enjoy this. Jack. The Recommend A Movie Thread - Waffuru - 12-05-2009
The Recommend A Movie Thread - Jack - 12-05-2009 Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. The Hangover was ok. The fat bearded guy wasn't very funny, and he had a shitload of lines and shit like he was the best part of the movie... that was a big fail. Mike Epps should have been more than a cameo, and Ed Helms was hilarious as always. The Recommend A Movie Thread - Kaden - 12-05-2009 Ed Helms is awesome. The Recommend A Movie Thread - Psyren - 12-05-2009 bwahahah jack is a pedo |
