It certainly caught me off guard, because I've been roleplaying Belle's power in a particular way since the beginning of the reset and was never aware of this change.

But, haven't we had large cities officially destroyed since the reset? And it was not simply confined to a personal storyline it transcended one writer's thread and affected the entire site. So, i mean, while you can say it really doesn't matter and it's had no effect and, for the most part, I'll agree with you, the truth is that it already HAS happened and perhaps if we had known about this staff discussion then it wouldn't have happened.
And I always read this updates when I'm in a bad mood, that's why i have this malicious perception of staff. Really, I don't actually care that much.

I think he might be referring to Vad's Central City stuff, but I don't believe that was single-handed.

If I remember correctly that was an army, and we'd told Vad that a single character couldn't destroy a city. It's fine for a city to be destroyed by a large group of npcs, what we don't want is someone going SSJ and then lifting two fingers and wiping out a large metropolis in one shot.
