Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Old Pigero - 10-25-2006 T _ T I want a PS2 bassically... for the SDvR, and DBZ Games... Plus others, but they aren't as important XD Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Saz - 10-25-2006 Lol, I went out to get DBZ budokai tenkachi 2, but it wasn't out so I just got the first one, pftahaha I'm so impatient, oh well, never been a huge fan of DBZ games just enjoy the novelty factor of playing characters I used to love. Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Super Buu - 11-01-2006 Oh shit, it's in stock. How the fuck did I miss this?! I need to decide whether to buy the PS2 version or wait for the Wii one. The only difference is the control scheme - the Wii one'll be playable with both GC and Wii controllers. But I'll probably get the PS2 one, since I still don't know how it'll handle with the GC controller, and I still want to have a 'controller' version. Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Krillin - 11-01-2006 Sissy. Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Super Buu - 11-01-2006 From a play-tested article I read, the Wii version handles very haphazardly, as it wasn't made with the controller in mind - that control scheme was basically just tacked on. It sucks, 'cause it could have been really cool, but apparently it's not. =( Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Krillin - 11-01-2006 Ok. Atari sucks (or whoever made it). I'm getting the PS2 game. Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Belle Hibiki - 11-01-2006 Damn, why'd I have to spend that money on Bully?! I've been trying to get back into Tenkaichi and shit, practicing on the first game, and doing a bit better than I used to. But man. You've got to be twitchy to take back the offensive in a melee match. FRIEZA - Please tell me that the energy attacks aren't as ridiculously dominant this time around. In the other game you barely did a pixel of damage per physical hit, if that. Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Super Buu - 11-01-2006 That's how it was supposed to be, Kibbs. The main purpose of melee is to build up your energy, or whateverthefuck, which then allows you to pull off the big energy attacks. It would work if it wasn't way easier just to charge your energy. But then, when you're doing that your opponent can do the same, so it is a little better to own your foe in melee. Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Dehan - 11-01-2006 God I hope they do a 'create a character' if they do another Tenkaichi or Budokai. Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Krillin - 11-01-2006 Quote:Originally posted by Kid Buu Is Bully any good? Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Belle Hibiki - 11-01-2006 It's good. Just not 'omfg awesome' like a lot of the reviews make out. Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Nori - 11-02-2006 Super Dragonball Z did.. although it could have been done a lot better. The customization in that game was horrible. Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Super Buu - 11-02-2006 Though it's a neat idea, I can't see them doing a character creation system on a DBZ game. It's licensed from an anime, and typically it sells copies by using the recognisable characters themselves. It's also pretty damn stylised. It's not impossible, just very implausible. Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Belle Hibiki - 11-02-2006 I could see it, although the first one would probably be just limited look custom and choosing a character's moveset, a la Dynasty Warriors. Eventually, though, they would expand clothing selection, and you could probably 'earn' articles by progressing through the game. Like if you beat Mecha Frieza with Vegeta, you unlock Vegeta's "BAD MAN" duds, complete with neon pink shirt and lime green pants. Kekeke. Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Belle Hibiki - 11-02-2006 Doublepost ftw. Been playing Tenkaichi 1 to get back into the rhythm of the game, and oh shit I forgot how much I hated this; and by this, I'm talking about the fight where you have to last three minutes against Kid Buu as weakling Vegeta, a fight that would be hard on its own without some of Kid Buu's attacks taking off almost half your health even when guarding. Doesn't help that it's hard to get the timing to avoid the Super Kamehameha with a teleport dodge. AGH. But I eventually beat it. <Vegeta> RAWRGH FULL POWER CHARGE. *spams ki attacks for the next minute and lets the timer run out* Makes me wonder if it'll be just as hard in the next one too. It's nice to have a challenge in a game every once in a while, but dayum... Edit: Actually, I looked it up, and it says two minutes on this FAQ. Still. Goddamn. Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Krillin - 11-02-2006 Personally, I think there's a difference between "a fun game challenge" and "Let's make this totally unbalanced situation so that the player has little chance to win". Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Super Buu - 11-02-2006 I completed that. Difficult, but doable. And it is one of the last challenges in the game.
Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Vejita I - 11-02-2006 I've given up on DBZ games. The last one I played was DBZ Budokai 3. So is it better or the same? After playing that annoying board game style of story mode in whichever version of Budokai it was, I just gave up totally. Not to be that guy - you know - the guy that comes into a thread and starts bashing the game and all, but yeah I've just lost hope. =/ Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Nori - 11-02-2006 I personally thought the hardest part of the game was fighting Kid Buu with Fat Buu. Such a pain. Hercule was easy to fight with though.. didn't even get hit. Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Super Buu - 11-02-2006 Quote:Originally posted by Kollifum^ What he said, KV. The Budokai series is basically a bog-standard fighting game but with DBZ models. Tenkaichi actually feels like DBZ. It's behind the shoulder, and you spend most of the time in the air, flying around at omg high speeds teleporting behind people etc etc. It's actually fully 3d. You can also hide behind objects, since if your opponent can't see you on-screen, you can't get a lock on them (well, for Scouter characters anyway >_>). It's a little like Zelda's Z-Targeting system. |
