Public Inquiry (All Members Read!) - Kaden - 01-10-2006 I think the idea of a series of, say, Dojos would be really cool, actually Put a couple on each planet and the dojo's 'champion' is awarded some kind of medal or somesuch that imbues them with a unique ability. Public Inquiry (All Members Read!) - Broli - 01-10-2006 It's boring when you have to wait 3 months to join in on a saga when you missed the deadline to the ongoing one. Very boring. Public Inquiry (All Members Read!) - Kaden - 01-10-2006 Was this in reference just to MoA, or to the whole Dojo idea? Public Inquiry (All Members Read!) - Broli - 01-10-2006 FoFII, actually. In all honesty, I just read Bra's opening post and skipped to the reply button. You know, that sort of thing. Edit: I was meaning a widespread staff saga, not something smaller in terms of MoA. The probably with extremely long staff sagas are that, because a majority of people tend to participiate in only one staff saga at a time, an individual can find himself out of luck for whatever span of time the saga exists. In other words, a staff saga that lasts a quarter of a year makes the IC world of Chubbs boring to participate in when you aren't a member of that saga. Public Inquiry (All Members Read!) - Burter Jr - 01-10-2006 For the record, FoFII is done to me. I'm still working on the finale, obviously, while trying not to burn myself out. But as far as I'm concerned, more sagas can and probably will start popping up Public Inquiry (All Members Read!) - Zarbon - 01-10-2006 Quote:Originally posted by Bra Well, I brought this up awhile ago, though it was clearly in the wrong thread (I have nightmares about Burter's post. Chills.) and thats clearly one thing: I find most of IC boring, no offense, everything is fantastic on this forum, though there are alot of things that are plain cliche. I'm not shooting you down for letting there be a planet Earth on the forums, but more so that you don't have more unique things like Frost. I love Frost. I WANT to go there because its more unique then the others. Mercy-sei is in here too. Perfect place that I want to be in, and its not on every DBZ RPG out there. And I'm not wanting you guys to go work hours upon hours doing this something like this, but still, it would be nice to have a bit more uniqueness. In everything. The planets were just an example. So, I'll go through a few things. Sagas How about we start on something non-definite. Sagas, the mastery work of the gods we call the Staff. The funny thing is, though commonly not realized, is the fact that most sagas on Chubbs are tournaments. DA, FF, and all the things that can be called a tourny (Possibly FoF, I never really decided if I could say that was a tournament.) make up most of Chubbs sagas. Though, as a demanding person, I always want something new (not my best quality) so, I'll point out a few things that I really want more of on Chubbs. Starting with the one of the sagas made in the OOC event that picked our very own Krillin. That race in the afterlife: wonderful. I love the concept of races and challenges along the road, but the best thing about it was it wasn't afraid to be a bit zany. Alot of sagas on here are so serious they could pop a vein if you really meant the words. The crazyness of creatures that could give you hickies and everything else there was a thing I'd love to see more often. It makes it totally non-linear. Something you wouldn't expect if it was right in front of your nose. Not that I don't like serious sagas, but one of these would be nice. Yup... Next. The concept of VS. saga. Two PC groups against one another. I'm not going in depth in this, but I mean something like the Takeover saga. I find that alot better then a common tournament. No offense. But, in other words: more saga variety. I know you probably had a few of the sagas I'm talking about, but shift it to a equal, is all I'm saying, as I don't just want to do Tournaments. Shop Well, I don't really have a problem with this section, as the shop is extremely unique to me, though I would like to suggest something. It sort of adds on to the 17 idea of more space quests. This is sort of an add on to the personal ship, but what if you could turn your personal ship into sort of a battleship. What do I mean by battleship? Maybe, purchase turrets and other weaponry for it, as you can't breathe in space, right? Maybe an armour upgrade? Possibly a stat system for the ship itself? Also, if you added this, you could have your very own space battles! Sort of like a spar with your ships and such. I believe this was suggested before by a Hercule or something, but I'm bringing this up again. Fantastic idea I say. Quests More zany quests. See what I mean when I talked about sagas. Planets Ok, back to planets. I noticed all the planets are in the northern end of the universe. This gives plenty of room to expand, so why not? Maybe a sewage planet like Zoness (Star Fox!) in the West Sector, and a spaceport in the East? In fact, a spaceport would be a nifty place to buy those battleships. Maybe there is a war in space in the east? There is alot of room to expand there, as I'm sure you are doing. Right, right? Conclusion I hope I didn't miss the purpose of this thread. This was IC suggestions, right? I'm sorry if I did anything wrong, mostly in the 'more zanyness' suggestionism. :/ Public Inquiry (All Members Read!) - Rem-13 - 01-10-2006 Quote:Originally posted by Zarbon Suggested by Gohan after and idea I had and then shot down. Reasoning was that you can RP getting your ships upgraded unofficialy. The problem comes whenever its PVP in space; without somethign to go on you have to RP as each ship is equal or come to an agreement between the two. Which works, but isn't quite as much fun. I wouldn't go as far as to say we need stats per se. A few basic variations on the personal ship (speed, cargo, battle) and some combat upgrades would be cool. Quote:Originally posted by Piccolo I think the idea of special ranks and stuff is awesome. Its something that can't be conceiveably obtained by everyone like a tech. It would a source of pride for the wearer of that rank, especially if its always on the line. I don't think the bebefits should be too great(again; more of a pride thing). Public Inquiry (All Members Read!) - Kazuya - 01-10-2006 How about a new skin, and/or choice of skins? Blue is getting kinda...i don't know...I'd like to see some other colors. Color does affect mood, ya know ^_- Public Inquiry (All Members Read!) - Vegeta Jr - 01-10-2006 Quote:Originally posted by Reijin>.> <.< I couldnt find this mistake! T_T Btw, I know my english isnt always the best, so tell me when I make an error so I learn from my mistakes. =P Also, as a disclaimer to this thread. Please be aware that the Staff is busy with a whole series of updates, which also might already include your idea. Or will because its a good idea. Also be aware that even though you think its a good idea, it will not mean we implement it. ^^;VJ Public Inquiry (All Members Read!) - Old Dave - 01-10-2006 Quote:Originally posted by Vegeta Jr Hey I speak the language 100% of the time and can't type it right half the time don't feel bad =P Public Inquiry (All Members Read!) - Broli - 01-10-2006 Quote:Super Kaioken (SKK)- After completing training with King Kai, a rare few may find themselves invited to train with Dai Kaiosama. There, Humans and Non-Transformers will find a spiritual center within themselves, allowing them to harness the energies of the very universe to channel into their Kaioken, transcending into Super Kaioken. Non-transformers already have the greatest versatility. Public Inquiry (All Members Read!) - Ashe - 01-10-2006 I already stated that all of the powerups are fair. Here's proof. KC feels that Changelings have the shit end on powerups, while Kirano feels that Non-Transformers have the crap end. Guess what? We are not going to make x40 powerups something that you can post 6 roleplays "training" it like you bastards did with Spiritken. EDIT: You guys do realize that if every member had a x40 powerup, that it would be the exact same thing as if NO member had a powerup of any kind, right? Which would equate to meaning that if one member joined up new, not having those powerups, suddenly every single member is x40+STATS above them, no matter what. Then that person would quit because it'd be pointless. Public Inquiry (All Members Read!) - Burter Jr - 01-10-2006 Quote:Originally posted by Reijin COOL POINT! My x20 powerup alone took me a few years to attain, so your point is moot. Then again, I got my x20 powerup twice after it was taken away the first time as Cell. =( Public Inquiry (All Members Read!) - Super Buu - 01-10-2006 Quote:Originally posted by Reijin It was 18 posts, jerk
Public Inquiry (All Members Read!) - Sage - 01-11-2006 Quote:Originally posted by That Brit Guy Indeed. There's only one way for everyone else to get a x20 powerup. There's three ways for a non-transformer to get a x20. x40 powerups are supposed to be hard to attain. I don't have one. Hell, not even Reijin has one. If you want one, you'll have to earn it, yo. Public Inquiry (All Members Read!) - Kaden - 01-11-2006 Well that's dumb. I'd like to propose that members don't have to earn things anymore. They should get everything, automatically, as soon as they meet the minimum requirements, without anything as troublesome as In Character rationale. Public Inquiry (All Members Read!) - Burter Jr - 01-11-2006 In that case, I believe I've passed the SSJ requirements. Please update me. Public Inquiry (All Members Read!) - Kazuya - 01-11-2006 Well, why not just have people on different planets (stronger chars, like 10,000,000+) Teach weaker chars? Since each of the higher levels know alot of techs, different techs, a player can submit a PM or post or something asking for training, and what move, then RP the training, sort of like a spar. EDIT: I'm mainly speaking about common techs, like special beam cannon, etc.) |
