[spoiler] I walk into Merrills place and she's crying and talking about the keeper dieing? And my character knows what happened? I don't? I'm at the beginning of Act 3 and I took her quest as far as it went in Act 2 what the fuck is going on? [/spoiler]

[spoiler] game is bugged in some parts. In her companion quests, which must have got bugged in your game (are you on PC, I hear its happening on that) and the end must be before the quest actually starts. bitch gets all blood magic about her mirror, keeper tries to save her, you have to kill the keeper. and its entirely merrill's fault. merrill and anders are the worst people in the game.[/spoiler]

[spoiler] So I killed the Dalish, and 5 seconds later she's chatting with Varric about something ridiculous. Also, apparently the only way to not have to kill them all is to take the blame for what happened,which makes no fucking sense because it's a lie, but they just say "Oh, well, don't come back here again. Douche." But I'll never do that because nuh uh[/spoiler]

[spoiler]Just finished. The playable ending is really fun, but I don't think it's very different if you pick Templar or Mage side. I had to fight Orsino and Meredith and both are real fucked up, real fucked up. And the mages all go abomination so you have to kill them too. Whatever. But then at the end you realize the whole game is a set up for another game. And you just peace out like the Hero of Ferelden. So i was like WTF HAPPENS WITH ME AND ISABELLA.[/spoiler]

I've already played ME2, but if you guys can send it and no one else wants it, I would take a legit copy.
Been playing through DA2 and am liking it a lot so far. I like the combat a lot more than in DA1. Feels a lot more fluid and, so far, requires less micro-managing. Getting all those tactics slots for free now is amazing. Every time I level and get slots I'm almost happier about that than the attributes or abilities.
Playing as a male Rogue. Took Shadow for my first spec, if that means anything to people. No clue what I'm going to do for my second. I'm tempted to take Duelist just for the bonus to crit chance, but the Duelist skills really really really don't look like they'll do well with Shadow. Assassin doesn't have as nice a bonus (+10% crit damage is fine) but I might actually use the skills. So... y'know.

Assassin is so badass. Assassinate is the best skill. Just auto-kill most and big time damage to big baddies. There's a big one on one battle later in the game, where, as a rogue, you'll get dominated heads up, I skipped around and just confused his ass with stealthing and evade and shit, then assassinated him when it was back up and running (reasonably long cool down time) and it was really easy.
I was a male rogue, specialized in assassin, then did some of the shadow abilities. But mainly dual weapon + assassin.

I actually haven't spent my spec point...I've just been concentrating on maxing out Elemental magic.
I think I'm just going to go with Blood Magic and Force.

Berserk + Reaver + Twohander = AAAAAUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHH, btw. So many stacking damage multipliers. I'm seeing whether I have enough points to add Vanguard into the mix for ridiculous overkill.

I don't really like Blood Magic in this game. It would have been awesome if, had you picked Blood Magic, it altered your interactions with characters and the world since blood mages are so hated in Kirkwall, but it doesn't. And the skills are cool, but not as cool as some were in DA:O. Force Mage looks neat though. I'm almost leaning towards the Spirit Healer spec so I can get rid of Anders and then have Merril in my party all the time. I'd heal, she'd range damage, then... Isabella and Aveline?
I was so pissed when I figured out Merrill couldn't learn creation spells, dumb, dumb woman.

Literally. What kind of female mage doesn't know healing spells? Merrill needs to get her shit together.
Also on the topic of in-world details: hey templars, if you're looking for apostates? Try starting with those guys with STAFFS AND ROBES WANDERING AROUND THE CITY. Characters in general are altogether too nonchalant about all the violent murder and obvious magical shit that goes on. It really took the biscuit when I was firing spells and fighting demons in the chantry in Act 2 for that book sidequest. Just watching it all happen and thinking SHIT. MY LORE. Then casually strolling out past the priests with my entire party including 2 mages covered in blood.
