Dragon Age!

Because it needs its own thread.

Thirding the 'arcane warrior owns' thing. I no longer miss my old warrior, because my new warrior has fucking force lightning.

Best part? You can get two specialization if you reach level 14.

BLOOD ARCANE MAGE WARRIOR. RWAR.

Can't get that specialization this playthrough. ='/

Duelist is pretty cool, though.

How do people feel about Templars? Would their anti-magic setup be worth speccing for? It sounds cool, but will be absolutely worthless if there's just not that much magic to... anti.

I don't find the templar that enticing, i think i might go with something more bloody and massacre-ish.

My mage has shapeshifting as a specialty. Which sucks. It was the only one available at the time and the game made me take it.

I learned it from Morrigan super early, right? I hope that doesn't wreck stuff, because shapeshifting kind of sucks.

Oh just as an FYI. You can unlock a Specialization, reload before you did, and it will remained unlocked. Or that's what I've been reading.

Specialization unlocks are global and therefore you are correct.

Oh. Word to the wise. Don't delete the folders in the BioWare/Dragon Age folder in your My Documents or Documents area. I moved character and deleted everything to fix a settings malfunction and lost all of my specialization unlocks. No fucking clue how it happened...I looked for the file that did it...

Sad to say I am now pissed at the game.

It shouldn't be. If it is, it's been spoiled in every video I've seen about it.

Oh. Considering it's optional...I figured it to be a spoiler.

Eh. If it's videos, I'll take your word for it. I wasn't really thinking that through. There are far worse things to reveal.

I'm assuming that's someone you run into who ends up being bad.

That mechanic hasn't been surprising since... ever?

@Sage: you don't have to take your specializations at level 7 and 14, that's just when you get the points to take them if you wish. I was gonna take Shapeshifter originally for my mage but yeah, in-game it pretty much sucks =(

On a related note, I hate how in the console version you can't save up talent points without also having to leave your stat points unspent.
