Fable II - Saz - 10-25-2008 Belle Hibiki Wrote:If you get knocked out without a Resurrection Phial, you get scarred. I thought the makers of the game were gonna scrap that idea, after they discovered play testers would rather restart the game when they got KOed, than live with the indignity of having their character scarred. Fable II - Kaden - 10-25-2008 When I make an evil character, I plan on dying intentionally to get some scars. If you don't want scars, don't die. Fable II - Belle Hibiki - 10-25-2008 How are people ever SHORT on Resurrection Vials? Even on my weak ass mage who can't take hits for shit, I still have like 9 of the bloody things. Fable II - Dehan - 10-26-2008 I haven't played all day I'm going to play for a few hours.
Fable II - Orion - 10-26-2008 Belle Hibiki Wrote:How are people ever SHORT on Resurrection Vials? What's the point of them? Like Lucy said, you can't die. I picked a fight with three guards. They killed me three times, and I just get up each time as if nothing happened. Fable II - Kaden - 10-26-2008 They keep you from getting scarred. Fable II - Dehan - 10-26-2008 Yea. Besides the golden lines on my guy's face he's a purty boy. Ha I just paused and unpaused my game and there was a woman in a white apron standing on my head petting my dog lol Fable II - Dehan - 10-31-2008 I'm thinking of having my family killed. Any takers? Edit: Never mind, managed to get the Hobbes to take out the wife. Then social services took away the little un she's now an orphan. And now I can marry my beloved...Ella
Fable II - Saz - 11-01-2008 So, I've just completed the Crucible part, and have been told to say goodbye to my family, and cut any loose ends before going on to the next part. Am I near the end of the main story already? The whole, finish all side quests cause you can't go back after this part, in games happen usually before the final boss battle. Fable II - Druu - 11-01-2008 Dehan Wrote:I'm thinking of having my family killed. Any takers? You are a sick, sick man. I just cheated on mine. Then I killed her. Anyway, yeah, I got an x-box and this game (along with fallout 3, so I'm not very far in fable) for my birthday, and... wow. It really is just Fable 1, but... I tried replaying Fable 1, about a week ago, to tide me over, and I just couldn't quite do it. It was too... meh. However this? This is good. Its VERY similar to the original, but I LIKE that, because its changed /just/ enough to be fresh. Indecently, if you can quick switch magic enough, the sith/jedi style of play is fantastic. Slow time/Dash -> Three hit sword combo -> Force Push -> Lighting Spam. I think I'm going to end up re-playing this game quite a few times. I love what they have done to magic, I love the small additions to swordplay, and I love the feel of the guns in this game. The only style of combat I don't like is...- Well fuck. Thats a first. I'm not going to say its flawless, because spells are as piss weak as always when you start, but the endless spam ability makes up for it tenfold. Jobs system - Amazing. Great time killer, and a wonderful way to earn munnay. Dog - Useful as buggery treasure finder. GFX - Better. Toned down the cartyoonie nature just enough, so it still is, but its not fucking stupid like Fable 1 was. Combat - Better. A lot. Karma - Meh. Its still a bit off, easier to change between factions than the last game, and thats good in one sense, but makes you feel like your alignment is less of an achievement, more of something you have to maintain. Relationships - They added STDs. Nuff said. All in all, stop posting on this forum Druu, you fucking half wit, when the game is right next to you and you could actually be playing it. You still haven't earned enough for the sword you want yet. *Borat Style thumbs up* Fable II - Dehan - 11-01-2008 I'll be playing again this upcoming semester, I traded in my 360 today and all my games. I'll buy another one in February. Fable II - Saz - 11-01-2008 The fuck.... Fable II - Dehan - 11-01-2008 Too much to explain. Short story is, I got screwed out of my rent two weeks ago, had to come up with the cash and I took my 360 down to gamestop traded it in. Spent the ride there and back calling in favors. happy birthday to me lol.
Fable II - Lucifer - 11-01-2008 Are you people missing the point? You can't die. You can't die. You just get back up and carry on the fight. There is no aspect of challenge whatsoever. I want to stab myself in the face thousands of times at the very concept of it. Fable II - Dehan - 11-01-2008 I died once but had a ressurection vial, I forgot to heal. I like not dying. Though I can understand why you'd have a problem with it. I don't think they thought that aspect through. I did have a question, for anyone who did the dog tricks to get the talking door open(forgot the name for them) did you see the house in it? It's got like dead bodies stacked inside. O_O I was freaked out. It was called 'Memory Lane' and the 'town' was called oakvale but was basically a cometary. Fable II - Dave - 11-03-2008 Yeah, when your fighting and your health bar drops to none, you collapse on the ground. And if you have a ressurection vial then you get back up with no scars, but if you dont have any you can get scarred or you can pay a hefty experience point penalty. And there is no armor in this game, except for the spartan armor and energy sword you can get if you the the Limited Edition of Fable 2. Fable II - Sage - 11-03-2008 Oh, please. You can't "die" in any game anymore. Restarting at the last checkpoint (or worse, choosing WHEREVER to save spontaneously) is just as "bad." Bioshock exemplified the 'you can't die' thing, in that even if you -did- die, you enemy was still weakened from the fight that killed you. And it was an awesome game. Not saying Fable II is good, never played it. But that alone isn't a gamebreaker. I like a challenge. If it's ridic easy then I understand your point, but the 'not dying' dynamic can be done properly. Fable II - Tempo - 11-03-2008 I decided to take the plunge and make my dude evil. Just went on a killing spree of pretty much all of Oakfield. And now my guy is sprouting horns. Fable II - Saz - 11-05-2008 FINISHED! The main story was okay. I enjoyed the sketches of the producers, design team, ect, in the credits, that was a nice touch. I'll probable try to squeeze some more gamer points out of the game in the next few days, just to pass the time until Gears comes out, but I don't really have an urge to play through the main story again any time soon. Fable II - Dehan - 03-13-2009 Anyone still playing this? |
