So I watched the episode you posted of the anime, and I'll have to agree with Sage's original opinion.

That False Moon is not tiring.

Vegeta is obviously angered and excited. That will explain the veins as they vanish after he tossed it. And the loud, not so much heavy, breath comes from the calming of such thing as well as launching such a thing high into the sky with such a pulled back thrust.
