Walkthrough:
1.0 Rules
When people usually join, they usually don't read the rules, go figure. It's because people who are joining, "newbies", are too lazy and think they know what they are doing.
If you read the rules you would know exactly what to do.
From the Help/Rules page:
TRAINING:
To train you login into your account here. Just put in how many points you want to add to what stats. You get to add 13 points a week, if you have weighted clothing you get an extra 1 so you will have 14 points to train with. If you are using a Headquarters (which lets you do more vigorous training), you get an extra 2 to your training-now you get 15 points to train with. If you have weighted clothing, and a HQ-you get 16 points to train with. When you go to train-add the points to what ever stat you wish to increase (ex. Strength or Defense). Notice: Only the physical stats will increase your Ki, not Luck, Intelligence or Determination. You should do your training each week. The staff aims to add your training points on Sundays but it is not exact, if you do not have your points on Sunday, just wait for a while, someone is getting it to as soon as they can. You can miss up to three weeks of training, as the program automatically remembers you. I suggest letting someone else do it for you if you think you won't be able to do your training for a extended period of time. You won't get any back if you forget to do your training in those three weeks.
SPARS/FIGHTS:
A spar is basically a fight where you can't die or seriously get hurt. You get 50-100 Zeni (DBZ money) per spar, and with a spar you get 1-2 to a stat of the Staff's choice. You must be on the same planet as your opponent to spar them. You can have NO MORE THEN 4 spars per week. When you want to spar, find someone to spar with. When you find a sparring opponent and write the spar up YOURSELF whenever you like (or have your sparring partner do it). You do not give yourself any rewards when you write the spar up. Every time you write a spar, post it on the Spar/Fight Board with Planet: member_name vs. member_name as the subject. Change 'Planet' for the planet you two spar on. A member of the staff will review your spar and award you stat and money bonuses. When your spar(s) have been approved by the staff, they immediately add it to your character. Note that you can not have more then 1 spars at the same time and you cannot spar in a saga unless you first roleplay getting off the scene in the saga, then have your spar, and then roleplay getting back. Your character can only be at one place at the same time after all. Note that you can spar with more then one opponents at the same time, as long as its in the same thread.
To have a fight it is pretty much the same thing as a spar, except you don't get any money out of it or training. The only for a fight is to settle a dispute or fight for a Dragonball. Follow the same procedure on the forum as you would with a spar-just put 'Fight:' before the thread name. This is a good opportunity to settle things in a saga/storyline and you want to have your opponent out for a few days.Procedure of Fighting:
1. Find your victim/opponent In Character. So you can't just find him with Ki Sense unless he's close/etc. See the Techniques page if you doubt. This is done on the Roleplaying Boards.
2. Roleplay you attacking/challenging your opponent on the Spar/Fights Forum. Send your opponent a PM that you have challenged him. He then has 3 days to respond.
2.a. If your opponent does not respond, you win by default. Note that the Staff can interrupt in special cases when they know if the opponent is absent for a special reason.
3. The opponent can Run Away if he has the capabilities. That means a (1)higher Speed, (2)special Technique(eg. IT), (3)special Items(eg. Cloaking Device), (4)strong Friends nearby.
3.a. If deciding to face him, it counts as a normal Spar. Each person can reply ones, then the Staff decides the winner.
4. The Winner can take 3 things. An Dragonball, Zeni(200-1,000Max, depending on the Fight) or you could greatly harm your opponent.(5-10 days of recovery, depending of the Fight)
Note: You can not interfere with a Fight unless you were already near the victim IC or have something like IT and you notice their fight from afar. Fighting is usually finished in a few minutes, so there's no time to fly towards it.
5. If your target of a Fight escapes or wins the Fight, you have to wait at least 3 days(72h) before targetting again.
MONEY:
Our money hear is called zeni. You can buy stuff in the shop with a certain amount of zeni. You get 150 zeni a week standard and 50 per spar(or more, if it's a very large one). To find out what you can buy with it, go to the 'members' part on the left where it says SHOP. If you want to know how much money you have-look at your character on the roster.
Note: If you and a different player are on the same planet, you can give Zeni to that other person. You need to Roleplay it just like you do when buying things, on the Shop forum. Note that you can not transfer money from your Alliance Zeni Pool to your personal Zeni Account.
PLANETS:
See the Backgrounds link on the left.
MENTAL STATS:
Intelligence, Luck and Determination don't have any influences to your powerlevel, but can have influences to a battle. Also, people who have their stats on about the same level have fewer chance to die. You can outsmart people, 'see trough their actions' or just have a lot of luck. With a high determination, you just keep pushing everything you got.
- For every 100 points of luck you get an extra +50 Zeni. (Added automatically.)
- For every 50 points of Intelligence you get an extra Best Move.
When you reach the next 50, make a post on the Updates board saying what you want to be your new extra best skill/Move. It cannot be a Technique, and if the new Special Move is thought up, it will be judged by the Staff for balance reasons. Note that you have to make a thread on the roleplaying boards inventing your new special move.
- For every 100 points of Determination, you get an extra training point. (Added automatically.)
SAGAS:
The staff will start sagas that often will span the entire CDBZ universe. In these staff-run sagas is where the most action takes place, we encourage you to jump into these whenever they pop up. These sagas are a good place to show off your skills as a writer and where the most powerful techniques are awarded. You can run your own saga, for character development, and for fun. Roleplaying with friends in group storylines is always encouraged, and sometimes storylines of the highest caliber are rewarded by staff. Although, asking for a reward will not help you to recieve one.
QUESTS:
You can choose the Quest link on the left and pick one of the storylines there. You will first have to travel to the designated planet and then post a thread starting with 'Q: ' and then the same name as the Quest on the right board.('Q: Save the Princess!') After you've met the requirements set in the descriptions, ask for guidence from the Staff on the Updates board. In the end, you can receive the Rewards set by the Quest. If you want to be in a quest someone else already has a thread started, use the same thread. Sometimes, it can happen that a Staff member replies to your Quest to make it a bit more complicated for you.
Some other things:
- Inactive characters or people who want to quit are NOT allowed to transfer their zeni and or equipment to other characters. This is for the fairness of the other players. You can however sell your items to another character for at least half the original price.
- When you want something given out by a Special Character or something else, roleplay going to his place and ask him for it. After that ask the Staff on the Updates board.
- The staff is not REQUIRED to give you a reward for roleplaying. (However, they will do this once in a while.. ) This is a RolePlayingGame, a game to have fun with, and you should enjoy the writing whether you receive a powerup or not.
- Roleplay freely, and do anything reasonable in a saga you want (aside from PC deaths, and powerups/other gains). If you would like permission to give a death or reward, then post a request for it in the storyline request forum. This MAY be rejected, and not used. This is not a demand, but a request, and if you are told no, and why, then just comply without being unreasonable.
TECHNIQUES:
Techniques are special abilities, moves and skills you can obtain during your stay on the rpg. You will get them by first meeting some requirements and after that Staff approval. All time requirements, for example you need to stay on a planet for a certain amount of weeks, this need to be continuely. So if you have to stay on a planet for 2 weeks, you can't be there one week, then go somewhere else, then come back and then wait another one week. Also, all week requirements are for each Technique. So if you want to learn two Techniques that both cost 2 weeks, you have to wait 4 weeks in total before you can learn them both.
Powerup Techniques:
These are all the Techniques that give you a Ki multiplier. All powerup techniques are only given out in special occasions like staff run saga's, but not limited to. Just meeting the requirements only show that you can get it. They are usually given out as the ultimate RolePlaying reward. Note that all Powerup Techniques without a scene of rage are more easily given out then the ones with rage. A Ki multiplier basically multipliers all your physical stats.
The rest:
There are Techniques that say they are learned automatically. When you meat the requirements, ask for an update on the Updates Board. For Techniques that are learned from a certain person, first roleplay going to him, then ask for a Staff reply on the Updates Board. He will give you an assignment/quest to fullfil, and when you pass the test clearly, that NPC might learn you his Technique.
