But yeah, I think Rad's hair should just grow a little in SSJ3, as opposed to the 'whole lot' for Goku, if at all (then have the thick wavy spikes and no eyebrows to differentiate). For the same reasons as Kibbles said - maybe 'cause Goku is bred as a low-level, average soldier, his body actually has to transform in order to contain the power, whereas someone who already has the right build wouldn't have to so much. Doesn't make all that much sense since Rad and Kak are brothers, but hell ... maybe the older brother got all the good 'fighter' genes.

No it doesn't mean that. Nappa has considerably more mass than Goku, Vegeta, and even Raditsu even though he's bald. And as Goku showed he can always change himself to hold more energy.

This is all temporary though, as their body gets used to holding so much energy they likely don't need to obtain as much mass. Take a look at Goku during the Saiyajin Saga. His body was bulking up to very large proportions just using KaioKen, but during the Namek Saga he is capable of using considerably more energy without physical damage or a need to bulk up- except with SSJ.

I actually think it's highly plausible. I mean, one of the major, if not the biggest theme of DBZ is that hard work can overcome birth. Look at the proof. The main character was born with an 'average' powerlevel, nothing special. When Raditz first comes along, Goku is shit by comparison. But he keeps at it, and eventually overcomes royalty, and becomes like the strongest saiyan, and one of the strongest entities, to ever exist. So it's not like blood is the deciding factor in who lives and dies - it just gives you an edge, albeit one which can be overcome with effort.

Pretty much. All 'MARTIAL ARTSMAN GETTING PROGESSIVELY MORE RIDICULOUSLY POWERFUL-esque animes pretty much follow that premise, and Naruto is no exception.

Yeah, but they also said they unlocked Gohan's potential when he went to Guru. And when he first went SSJ2. It's more likely that there is no limit to his potential, he's only limited by the power of the person/process unlocking it. This is all speculation, but it would fit the theme of the series. Goku did, after all, say that there were probably even more Super Saiyan transformations.
