If we die in Dante, is it real death, or it like the last Dante?

Thank you for asking Akane, I was wondering and was scared to ask.

I had a feeling "STFU NooB It's right there" feeling but I couldn't find it.

If you are killed by collar explosion or suicide, you go to the afterlife

Any other case, you'll be teleported back to the VIP Meeting Grounds, and then to the planet of your choice

This is from the 2006 DA board. I'm sure the rules will be similar.

Hopefully this eases your worries a bit until the official rule is posted.

If you die by inactivty, you die for real. If you kill yourself, you die for real.

If you die normally, in a battle, you will be returned to the living realm and teleport to a planet of your choice, except Kajin Rala and Frost

I also assume we can't ask to go the Kai's Planet if we never actually went there before?
