Poem I wrote a while ago.
Modern Demonologist
So you say you have a spirit
Deep inside your head
I’ll mix up an elixir
And send you right to bed
You say it isn’t helping
All these things that I have done
So hand me that there scalpel,
And let’s have a little fun.
Take my modern medicine
A pill, a patch, a shock,
I guess I’ve done all I can,
So last of all, let’s sit down and talk.
Girl, you seem a bit overweight,
Sir the hair a bit thin,
Well I’ll put you under the knife
So you can both grow it back again.
I’ll drill a hole in your head,
And let all the demons in,
So watch this here commercial,
And let therapy begin.

drill a hole. . . jeez. Would this hole be in-between the two eyes, and up slightly?

Depends on the lobe they'd be drillin. If it was the frontal lobe, most likely there, but most of the time it'd be parietal or temporal, which are both on different areas on the side.
Demonologists would actually drill small holes in your head to try to release demons, and later in the 1900s brain surgeons would use massive hand crank drills to relieve inter-cranial pressure when you had a stroke or something. Both practices lead to death in most cases.
EDIT: So basically, that'd be a sick 3rd eye reference, but not particularly, no.

I understand better now. It's quite awesome. Reminds me of Kingdom Hospital --SK for some reason.

I think I saw a little bit of that show, and saw brittish guys drilling into some fool
s skull with a hand crank. It was a little bit of inspiration for it, actually.

I think poems like that are almost meant to be read aloud, you know? The author's voice needs a chance to speak it for themselves.

The poem is wonderful. It reminds me of a really strange hospital. And every day life.

MUST EVERYTHING REMIND YOU OF A HOSPITAL?!
To validate this post as "non-spam" I'll tack something onto it. One moment while I find something.

Did this for a comic I'm trying to write.
