Bojack Wrote:You would seriously compare Hitler to a double homicide. Honestly, yeah. From what I've studied/read/heard, the path of a mass-murderer simply requires one to get over that huge hurdle of a first-murder. For some/most, the conscience obliterates their emotional stability, and they break down. For others, the next murder becomes easier. They aren't parallel. As far as I know, Hitler didn't actually kill many/any folks personally. They were all just statistics on the reports he got. Benoit killed his wife and child personally. Anyone who can kill their child is a monster, outright. Regardless, you said "speak ill of the dead". Hitler was the most infamous dead guy I could think of. I was trying to make your stance look absolutely silly, and I'm pretty sure I succeeded.

I always enjoy seeing that Krillin's the most recent reply to a topic. You just never know what you're going to get.

Hi, Krillin, this is not the thread for that. Please respect the request to keep that sort of discussion out of this thread.

Out of curiosity, Waff, what discussion did I make that was not applicable to the current topic (which, itself, shifted from Wrestling to whether or not Benoit is a faggot)?
EDIT: That's me, the grab bag. whoo

Well, mainly, as far as I can tell you are trying to entice someone into a debate or simply get them to flame you. You've obviously made your opinion known, maybe you should just leave it at that.

But I was connecting it to my point about Benoit not being a monster for going crazy. You have to remember that people black out and wake up with the blood of their loved ones all over them. Dahmer's first kill (allegedly) was after he woke up from a dream and found he beat a man to death. He liked it so he kept going. Benoit didn't so he killed himself.

I know Rad, it's cool. I'm like Ty Cobbs. I steal even if I know I'm gonna be thrown out, just so the catcher's like "OMGWTF TY COBBS".
I've given Staff plenty of opportunities to latch onto something I've said and give me a member title. Please? Bojack, somehow, I don't think that happened with Benoit. This was deliberate. If he really hated himself, he would've killed himself after killing his wife, not waiting a day then killing his son. This was thought out.

Oh, I'm not saying he has to quit or anything like that. Just a recommendation. If I had thought he was doing something wrong I would've given him a warning. Just when someone goes ape shit on ya, I'm just gonna say I told you so.

Your post didn't exactly sound like a friendly recommendation. It was styled exactly in the same way I got my PM about my "infraction" a week or two ago.
But w/e, idc, bff?

The difference would've been getting it in PM vs. post. It's cool though, sorry about the confusion.

So much for innocent until proven guilty, eh? I mean seriously. America is a great place where people can speculate and automatically fingerpoint guilt to someone just because they were in the same proximity. I mean, no knowing all the facts and then deducing he was a murder isn't being logical, its being stupid. I take offense to the automatic deducing of guilt, because not a single one of us can claim that Benoit is indeed a murderer. And even IF he did it, he surely couldn't have been in the right state of mind.
Hey, sure. Someone can slip me some LSD, I'll go stab a couple people, because hey, I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR SOMEONE SLIPPING ME DRUGS!!! =) Exactly. I hope you get what I am saying. This whole situation is pissing me off, so I am going to leave this thread until the tox and autopsy results come back. Thank you. ![]() Fuck you, Photobucket.

At what point, then, can we consider anyone to "be in the right state of mind" when they strangle their wife and smother their child? If never... then are we just never supposed to assign guilt to murderers because they all "snapped," "lost it," "blacked out," or "weren't in the right state of mind?" Shouldn't there be some level of accountability?

While they aren't completely different - In my eyes crimes of passion =/= sensless murder.
Husband comes home, finds his wife in the bed with another dude and looses it ends up killing them both. To me thats totally different than some John Doe randomly picking out a woman on the street and doing her in. Yes, both are murder, but under much different circumstances. Both will probably be sentenced to life in prison or sentenced to death. I would think that we(as humans) would probably hold the person who murdered someone with no reason with higher accountability, while we show(somewhat) more mercy on a husband who lost it when he saw what he saw. They all deserve some accountability, but to say that they're the same is, in my opinion outright wrong. ^Thats probably all mumbo-jumbo >_< Hopefully you understand. ![]() ありがとう人造人間18号

I understand what you are saying.
Benoit could have gone with an insanity plea had he not killed himself. |
