They both operate very well. In fact, AIM is less likely to crash - as far as I've experienced - but I rarely crash an IM more than once every month or so anyway, so it's hardly an issue, but I will admit it is annoying when the MSN server is offline for a half-hour period at a time.

ZOMG! AIM is deh evilz!

I love aim, especially 6.0. There's nothing MSN offers me that I lament by using AIM instead.
