Reijin suggested that last year. I'm not totally crazy about the idea. If it could be wrong, it kind of defeats the purpose.

I think my malfunction was that every use had a 10% chance to cause it to detonate, possibly harming/killing you in the process.

I'd assume you'd random.org 1-10 and if you hit 1 then boom.

Obviously this number could be changed to a more or less random chance.

I'd say get rid of it. There's just too much potential for OOC douche-baggery, like feeding coordinates to other players of other players. Admittedly, CU tried to do this last time it happened, and it sure was nice for our side, but it was still dumb as Hell.

If you must keep it, make the GPS not tell you how many people are on a square.

I think the thing should have a harsh drawback, as I state every single year, pointing at the possible bomb idea.

However, if once again nothing like that happens, that doesn't mean that I'm not going to use the item for everything its worth. Just because I'm personally against the power of something or a mechanic that I see as abusable yet within the rules of the game doesn't mean that for a strategic reason I'm not going to use it. My character will take every single advantage he can due to the way the character is written, and I'm slightly amused by the thoughts that I'm going to play things based on my own personal viewpoints of things instead of how my character plays. Please, keep thinking that =D
