The problem I found with Zangya was that she couldn't ever change realistically

That's a cop-out that I never have, and never will, take with any amount of respect. Look at Eighteen. She was tired of her character, she found a way to change her into something she liked. And then she went on to win DA.

Not only is it possible to change a character (Rad has been through, at least, four different "incarnations," as I call them), but doing so often brings out more energy, motivation, and creativity than you thought you had. (When I say "you" in this case, I don't mean Zangya, personally, I mean whoever is reading this) It also brings you closer to the actual character.

I read your post and see a lot of excuses why you should be justified in giving up on Zangya instead of stretching yourself as a writer and creating something that you didn't have before.

The bottom line is that you're free to change if you want to. We won't say "no, you can't switch," but I think you stand to gain a lot more from sticking it out and I think it would really bring out a lot of the potential that you have. But, at the end of the day, it's still your choice no matter what anyone else says.
