Ok, so you know how cancer eats away at your good tissue cells and that's how it starts to kill you? By eating you?
Imagine this...cancer that eats cancer cells. So once that cancer ate away all the cancer cells and had nothing to eat, it would die because that's what it fed off of, or like an antibody that had served its purpose, float harmlessly around your body because what it identified as food was no longer present. If you could mutate a strain of cancer to identify cancer cells as food instead of normal tissue cells, theoretically, couldn't you create a cure to cancer?
I know there are many specific types of cancer, but similiarly, there are various types of hepatitus that is fought off with completely different vaccinations. So if you took a sample of a specific type of cancer (as most vaccinations come from a sample of the virus/bacteria/disease they're created to fight) and mutated it with the properties an antibody consisted of that helped it identify a specific target, is it not conceivable that this new strain of cancer could feed off of the old strain of cancer, while not identifying normal tissue cells as a source of sustenance?

To me, the thread is less about criticizing/defending Avatar and more about wondering how stoned Jack was when he saw the movie/made the thread.
