Yes, Blizz no longer has anyone from the original pre-BC crew on their staff. This is why they are now going in the direction of expansions and the plans they've set in motion. Otherwise, we'd still be in Azeroth waiting on the next level of Blackwing Lair to be opened up. I'm not saying that that would be a bad thing, but things change. I am strongly against the large number of people that always feel "Well I had to do it this way, so everyone else should as well!"

Secondly, and this is something I constantly see argued, REDUCING LEVELING TIME AND ALLOWING FACTION CHANGES DOES NOT REMOVE SOME CHALLENGE. WHAT CHALLENGE? Are we seriously trying to say that leveling is "hard"? It isn't, it never was. Even leveling to 60 pre-BC on a pvp server wasn't difficult by any means. Long and tedious and frustrating, fuck yes. But difficult? If it were somehow requiring any form of thought process to reach the cap, then there wouldn't be the tons of morons invading pugs for raids and heroics. And no one can use the claim of "that's because they made leveling easier" because even back in ZG, one of my first raid experiences was to have one of the RLs rage quit and flame everyone on vent with spam noises before kicking everyone he could from the guild and then deleting his character. I consider that pretty moronic on its own.

I still can't even stand how much of a grind it is to get the base pvp gear just to BEGIN doing arena. I mean, the gear that you can get before doing it is in no way any bit more competitive than standard heroic gear (let's ignore raid gear for this) due to the absolute pathetic amount of resil. You won't see any effect from it at all. SO WHY should we have to grind grind grind for that gear before getting the rating for actually decent and not top level pvp gear? Its just annoying and part of why I'm not bothering to play right now.
