When people get bored, the game gets changed. This isn't some evil tyrannical ploy, it's smart fucking business. You do realize Blizzard has to turn a profit, right? And if they can get more players, or retain some players, or even bring back some players at the risk of pissing off a smaller amount of players, what the hell do you think they're going to do?
Your only argument so far has been that people who have been playing a long time get screwed because it's not as hard to advance now.
Not having to level grind is a good thing. Being a Lvl 80 in an MMO isn't an accomplishment, it's a testament to not having a life.
If Blizz can streamline the bullshit it makes the game more accessible to everyone. This is a good thing. It's smart for business. And that is, ultimately, what Blizzard is. They don't care about you. They care about your wallet. I'm sure you find this hard to believe, but get used to it. We call this life.
