Mafia III - Day Two

I'm very hesitant to push for a lynch vote, again.

For one, I still think our odds of killing an innocent are much higher than killing a mafia member. I don't know if a total shot in the dark is worth losing someone with a power role, like perhaps a second Doctor who could just be keeping quiet to avoid getting shot at while protecting the Sheriff. I can't get enough of a feel yet on the current info to take the risk yet. >.< I think I'd prefer to let the Sheriff investigate a bit more before I commit to a vote just yet. That said, I'm also keeping open to watch for suspicious activity.

I kind of agree with the claim that the loudest and quietest are the most suspicious. I also find immediately pushing for aggression in a situation where the odds aren't in our favor to be a bit suspicious. I do think Rem's call could be suspicious, but at the same time a lot of joke votes were put forth and retracted.

The loudest of us are completely subjective, so I'm not going to list those, but the quietest of us are those that haven't posted at all.

People I don't recall posting (and its entirely possible that I just don't remember them, as I'm not going to go back through the threads, so I'm NOT saying I necessarily suspect these guys so much as I want to make note of them):

Also, I think very little has been said from Celena although I can't blame anyone for wanting to stay off the radar and be forgotten about. Again, I'm not calling anyone out, I just want to note those people so we don't just forget they are in the game, in case someone is mafia and simply staying invisible.

I'm uneasy about this possible "Assassin" role or whatever, even if it helped us get the Godfather. That's a hilarious fucking achievement, but I don't necessarily like the idea of someone being able to take shots in the dark if the majority rule (and yes, 9+ people - to include the nonvotes - voted not to lynch) prefers otherwise. I am hoping that if we DO have the majority vote to lynch someone, that this Assassin/Vigilante can't just cause us to lynch someone else. I kind of suspect that their power is only considered usable on a target when a No Lynch vote would otherwise take effect, or as someone else mentioned, a one time ability that turns them into a Townsperson afterwards, leaving them useless now.

Sigfried, out of curiosity, why did you investigate Waffuru, who I didn't really find that suspicious given his normal antics, instead of John Doe, who had been mafia before and was who people were most suspicious of? I'm not calling it a bad move, because its entirely possible that you were actually LOOKING for the Doctor to get them to protect you (though announcing yourself was a way of doing that, imo), but its just confusing to me. He was number ten on your list of investigations, where you had Cringle at the top, and when you were asked by Kaden to investigate John Doe, you said that was who you would (though in this case it wouldn't have mattered). I also think you announcing yourself on day one as a Sheriff and gathering trust is a bit suspicious, but I haven't decided yet. The only results you've given so far are those of someone we have the official ruling on, so I don't even know if I believe you are the Sheriff, at this point. I'm a bit surprised that they went after Waff rather than you, to be honest, given that they should have thought you the threat, but at the same time, the guy you investigated is the guy who caused their Godfather to be lynched.

As a curious note, is it possible that the mafia themselves killed their Godfather as some kind of power play to stir the pot? Or are they not allowed to kill their own members? If the mafia does have the ability to kill their own members, then that definitely changes a few variables to keep in mind.
