Versatility

I think I have a lot of champs at 'leisurely decent'-level, but since this is for serious, I will spend some time dwelling on it.

After some thought:

Solo Top
Wukong (my boy)
Irelia (though I get countered hard by a lot of champs)
Singed
Shyvana

AP mid (my bane)
Morgana (used to play her a lot, but I'm out of practice)
Karthus (really want to learn to play him, don't know if he'd fit into a ranked comp though)
---- (Annie? she does have that mean AoE stun)

Jungle
Malphite
Warwick
Amumu (I want to refine my Jungle Amumu, because of all that CC)

Ranged AD
Tristana
Sivir
Caitlyn (close-ish to competence)


Support
Soraka
Janna
Alistar (although I tend to go tanky Alistar than anything else)
Taric

Edit: I am open to any suggestions of champs that people thing I should learn based on what I seem to like. I think my main issue with League of Legends is that I just enjoy playing a variety of champs rather than any solid collection =/
