1.4 Planets
There are many planets in Chubbs DBZ RPG. You can look at the information for them on the Backgrounds link on the left of the main page.
The three planets you can start on, are Earth, Namek, and Vegeta. The rest you will have to fly to on a space ship, or if you want, you can use a tele tube which instantly tekeports you to a planet.
1.5 Travelling
Travelling can play a big role on your character. If you travel from one planet to another, you can get special things. For example, if you went to Namek-sei you would be able to get Spiritkin there and if you went to Earth and stayed for two consecutive weeks, you would get Ki Sense. To travel you need either a teletube, or a personal/alliance ship. You can buy upgrades for these ships to go faster to the planets and where you can train while in them.
1.6 Sagas
Sagas are storylines. They are usually much larger than a normal quest or personal story. Most sagas here at Chubbs are staff-run. They usually happen every six months or so for the major ones.
Member sagas aren't usually as big but happen between the six months of the sagas, there are some exceptions to the six months though.
Large rewards are given for the staff-run sagas. They decide rewards depending on how much effort you put into the saga and how long you stayed in.
1.7 Quests
Quests can be found on the quests page, the link is on the left side of the main page.
There are quests for every planet, the rewards are usually pre set so you can do whichever you want. Also, the description for the quest and what you need is located on their. If it says you need to protect somebody, then when you are roleplaying, you would find that person and fend off any people trying to hurt him/her. It's really quite simple.
When it says Minimum (stat/ki) you will need that set amount of ki or whatever stat it is if you want to be able to do it. You can get in groups with other people to do quests too.
You can also do personal storylines. These are very helpful and sometimes rewards are given, they are mostly made if there is nothing else to do or you want more character development.
1.8 Other Things
Inactive Characters are characters who have not RPed in at least 2 weeks. This means, if you want to be in the RPG, you have to RP! Even if you are active OOC, you have to RP IC if you want to stay, Staff are an except =P
When you want to get something for an Important Character such as Spiritkin from Guru, you have to RP a lot and then after you are done RPing, ask staff if you get it, they will tell you yes or no, if not, then try, try again.
Rewards wont be given out all the time, this is mostly for personel things. For premade quests or sagas, they will though.
1.8b Other Things-Terms
There are many terms use in this RPG. Such are IC and OOC. IC means in character. In character is mostly for RPing, if you are in an IC board that means you need to roleplay what you character does (except spar request).
OOC means out of character. Out of character are places like the Legendary Asylum and the Questions/Updates/Suggestion boards. This is where you don't need to act out your character but instead, talk to other people however you want.
PM means private message. This is the messaging system built into CDBZ where you can talk to others privately.
1.9 Techniques
Techniques are different abilities you can learn in the RPG. They aren't the same as normal moves. They are things such as ki sense and Oozura. They are learned over time or rewarded by staff.
There are also Power Up Techniques. Poower Up Techniques are used by a person when they want their character's max ki to go up. They range from x5 max ki to x40 max ki. These are like Spiritkin and Super Saiya-jin and Super Namek-jin and others. They are rewarded by staff usually for good RPing. They will not just be given to you like that, these take a long time to earn, also, all powerups are equal in their own ways. The powering up has limits to certain races and more than one power up technique may not be used at once. Many techniques may only be learned from certain NPCs, to get to those NPCs means good RPing and a lot of effort as well.
Also, if the technique page doesn't say how to recieve a certain technique, then it is given out in staff-run sagas.
2.0 Alliances
An alliance means a lot of things. Friends, safety and protection, and TP. But you can't just start an alliance or enter an alliance out of nowhere. If you're going to start one with other people, it's best to meet them in character before anything big happens, that way, it will make more sense and be more realistic.
When in an alliance, you can do everything together and mess around. You can also squire other people.
2.0b Squire
A squire is part of an alliance tool. This tool is for stronger characters to give weaker ones in their alliance their TP. So if a person is weaker than me, I can give them my TP a week (You can pick how much) as long as they are in my alliance.
2.0c Alliance Money
Alliance money really means nothing in this RPG. It's just a gimmic to make everything seem realistic and what not, nothing special. You can use it to buy an alliance HQ though, but you don't need it since you can already give other people money to help pay for things...
3.0 Roleplaying
Roleplaying is the MOST important thing in this RPG currently. Roleplaying is just like writing a story about you character. Examples are written all over on the forums at Chubbs. We only do third person which is he, she, they, etc. We also do past tense such as, said, went, etc.
When RPing you are your character and you put what your character feels and you develop your character into the way you want that person to be. It doesn't matter how they are in the anime, you can make Goku evil and Dr. Gero nice. It's YOUR choice.

A new feature are the prefix options. They are in the drop down box next to the topic name. Put what corrisponds with what you are doing. If you are doing a Personal Storyline, pick that one, if you are doing a Quest, do that one. But do NOT do staff run saga or anything of that sort. That is for, obviously, staff run sagas.
3.1 OOC Posting
Posting in OOC (Out of Character) is also important. If you post something with a title "(Quest Title) Guidance" we don't know what you want. Remember, if you are asking a question, use the [Question] button in the drop down, [Update] for an update, and [Suggestion] for a suggestion.. We can't read minds so you need to tell us what you need. We don't like when people talk about illegal things either. So don't talk about how much you do drugs, pirate games/movies, or anything illegal. Don't bring in anything racial because we accept all races and don't talk about religion or politics. These threads are locked because debates go too far on these topics. Also, don't be a post whore OOC and not RP. You will be kicked out.
Also, to avoid confusion, being bitched at, and other things, it is advised to use correct spelling and grammar. Sentance Structure is one of the most important things in this RPG, only because it's the only thing we really can bitch and moan about. If you use bad grammar, you will be looked down upon, so try your best with that. And if you are from a different country and your English is rusty, just explain it and you should be good to go and nobody else has a reason to bitch at you. and don't say it's because you are young because I am only thirteen and I try to keep the best grammar and spelling I can.
One major thing that staff try to let you all know is to not post in the wrong place. For example, you don't post in the Warnings board. If the staff edit the prefences to keep you from posting in specific boards, there's a reason. Such as, you may not post in the Joining boards unless you are staff because of the way the forums are set up. You would have to log out and post but if you do this, you will get warned because you have no place there.
3.2 Editing
There has been some controversy over editing before. The edit button is very helpful when needed so that people don't double post. Staff and members look down upon double posting unless it's been longer than about 24 hours. The time that you were allowed to edit was five minutes, now it's ten. Anybody that has trouble with it anyway, should still be grateful it's at ten minutes.
Editing will never have an infinite amount of time. That's because back when it was, it was abused and people would change their roleplays in spars and other things to catch an edge. In OOC, people edited to get out of being warned, which is being dishonest and lying to the staff. I suggest nobody complains about the edit button ever again...
4.0 Characters
The characters in the RPG are on the roster page. When you first go there it shows the active roster, the people who are taken. On the link there are the top, click Inactive characters.
This shows what characters aren't taken. But remember, staff are lazy here sometimes and sometimes the roster isn't updated. So they will have characters already taken on the inactive roster sometimes. NPCs are Non Playable Characters, so don't ask if you can be Vegeta or anything like that. They are there for reference, really.
There are a lot of characters in the RPG so when it comes to picking a character, it shouldn't be hard. You can not be any NPC (Non playable Characters, they are listed there), Hildergarn, or any of the dragons.
If you don't find a character you want then don't worry. We have found a website that has, what we think, is all of the characters in DB/Z/GT

Also, remember, in this RPG ALL races are equal. Saiya-jin are NOT in ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM the strongest race.
4.1 Changing Characters
Some people who join the Chubbs DBZ RPG tend to get bored of their characters. This does happen every now and then, but it is possible. Let's say you don't like being Krillen or just can't RP being him, then in the Questions/Updates/Suggestion board, tell them you are changing characters. There is one downside to switching characters, though. You will lose 25 points from ALL stats, including your mentals. That will lower your ki a LOT and you will lose one move if you change when you first start as well. That's because you start with 150 intellegence and you lose 25, making 125. More information on stats is in the Stats section. But just remember, if you want to switch characters, you better know the consequences and staff will remind you of them, but you are allowed to change to any open character.
5.0 Joining
Joining this RPG requires you to know the rules and read this, the FAQ/Walkthrough, which already has the Rules on it =/. The information you gather from these two sources will tell you what you have to do to join the RPG, also look at the sticky on the joining board on the forums.
Joining requires this information (Taken from the join page of Chubbs, on the left it is linked on the main page):
Before you join, I suggest looking under HELP, since all the rules are there. To join you must go to the forums by clicking on the ROLEPLAY link. Go to the Joining Board and make a post there as a Guest. (So don't register on the forums yet!)
# First, you must tell me the character you wish to be. The character must not be chosen, if he isn't on the roster. If it says he is open on the roster-you can be him. He also can't be one of the special characters (look in other to find out the special characters). Any character from Dragonball, Dragonball Z or Dragonball GT. That means no self-thought characters. And NO fused characters.
# After that, give me the personality of the character {ex. Ruthless (never gives up and may be cheap just to win), Courageous (will keep battling, no matter what the odds are), Kind-Hearted (shows deep mercy for the opponent and won't kill someone-unless something causes them to do so), Clever (Could be good or bad, will wait for the perfect time to attack and study the opponent, also finds ways to cheaply defeat the opponent.), etc... You just choose the personality and explain it if it isn't listed here.
# After all of that, tell me what planet you wish to start on. You may start on Earth, Vegeta, or Namek. There are more planets, but you may only start on these for now.
# Tell me your e-mail address, AIM (if you have it) and/or your ICQ number (if you have it).

What all of this means is, don't register on the boards yet, but you should post on the joining board and it should look like this:

That's it. But for a roleplay example make it how you would RP when you are registered and accepted into the RPG. This means, make it past tense, third person, use spell check, split paragraphs using a "buisness letter" style of writing.
"Business Letter" style of writing is when you have a paragraph then press enter two times making a gap between paragraphs, this is only because the boards don't have indents.
Also, make your RP a little length, 300 words+ is always good and people usually get in with that.
Then, after all of that, remember to pick three moves you want for your character. These aren't the techniques from the techniques page, but actual moves from the anime show. You can also create your own moves as long as you limit them and not have them super strong where you could god mode with them.
Now, don't register yet! Wait for a staff member to look at it and when s/he says "Accepted, register and someone will activate you." do as told. Register an account for the forums and they will accept it. Make sure it's the same as your character name. If it's taken, reply back in the joining thread you made as a guest again and tell them the problem, they will fix it for you.
Then have fun RPing!

6.0 Warnings and Bannings
When you are OOC or IC and don't follow a rule, you can get warned. Staff are sometimes leniant on warnings but that means nothing. If you post just OOC in an IC forum, you can get warned, if you post mindless spam in the Q/S/U you will get warned, This is very important because it's like baseball, three strikes and your out. Please be cautious and think before you do any actions and if you have a problem with somebody or they have done anything bad or sent you something bad in PM or email, tell a staff member.
Warnings are obviously given for obvious reasons. Don't be an idiot =/
7.0 Miscellanious
There are a lot of things people keep asking or talking about and since they aren't previously located in the FAQ, I will make a whole new part to the FAQ for them. There are a lot of things people need help on, so let me try my best.
At the bottom of the shop page, it says for reference and lists items. These are items that have been taken out of the RPG. They are there because NPCs or some characters may have them because they never traded them in. So, don't ask.
8.0 Things to Note

2. Don't ask for updates for anything until 24+ hours after the RPing is finished if nothing has happened.
3. Don't discuss politics or religion, staff will lock these threads because they tend to grow into much larger arguements than they should be.
