I Just Want You All To Know
#2
Though some people don't understand what it's like to lose an animal you have a bond with, I do. I had my dog, Jazz, for pretty much my entire life until a few years ago. We got her as a puppy when I was just a few months old. In her last few years, she started getting tumours, and it became harder and harder for her to walk and be active. She lived with my dad, but always perked up whenever me or my brother came to visit. She always knew who we were, even as we grew. I only see my dad for a weekend or so maybe every few months, so it was strange that I was there on the day my dog passed away. The whole day she seemed to have difficulty even standing. When it came to get to the car, she couldn't walk and had to be carried. My dad left us at the house, saying he was just going to take Jazz back for a bit. But we all knew it was the last time we'd see her - we found out later my dad had gone to put her down. She was my dad's companion for 15 years, and he was absolutely devastated. I've eventually gotten over it, but believe me, I know how you feel, and I'm sorry for you.
