I have a severe case of ADHD. And I'm not one of these kids who says they're ADHD without being sure, I've actually had the tests done and everything. I can honestly say there was never one time when I was not in full control of my actions. Sure, I was quite hyper when I was younger, but if I had really wanted to, I could have calmed down. You can't blame diddly-squat on ADHD, except maybe a lack of focus.
